South West Crappie

Hello Everyone,

Trying to get my dad some crappies ASAP.  He is so busy and barely has time to fish because he is helping out at the local church... Long story short- my dad retired and now all is does his help us kids with his grand babies and has lost his fishing touch.  Just want to take care of him soon.

Thank you for any updates on some hot water..

Dan

if you're in bridgeville you have a crappie lake 22.5 minutes west of you...  get some minnows and chuck them in the water on a hook...

If I had some ASAP crappie waters, I'd share.  I think most waters will heat up in a week or two.  Tomorrow might be good.  Sunday will likely put fish in lockjaw mode for a few days.  After that I think game on.

From what I’ve heard firsthand from two friends and read on social media, Pymy is hot if by ASAP you mean this weekend. Although it’s certainly not SWPA.

If by ASAP you mean in the next week or two, what Porktown said ^

Pymy is on fire......... 32 slobs 11"-14" plus ......all the perch you could possibly want.... 40 came home between 9"-12" I fished all day with my son on Wednesday and really couldn't tell you how may fish we caught.....
cast and crank pretty much all day. I know we use 12 dozen minnows, jigs and split tails with mags worked just as good...

pssssssst Porktown, you know I don't spotburn but being the good guy I am, I hear from a really reliable source (though there is no pics) Pymy is really on fire with slabs and PI is doing terrific for jumbo perch. But ya didn't hear that from me OK? 😛

They are on fire until I show up. Then it is “you should have been here the last few days”... Pymy and PI are rough 1 day trips for me. I’m fine waiting another week or so. To get skunked again..

Too windy for me today. Have to get new launch permits for the Radison's & Sportspal's for when I come back up later next week. Gonna stop at Robinson's on way home for cooler ov Fatheads to use in Arthur. Arthur was producing good Panfish bite also from my sons reports last week.

We will target Byrds on Weds. Cold front coming in later today so there goes the decent (not hot) bite from my info received & first hand reports from bait shop & fishers I've talked to last 3 days at Pymy.

Looks like I might get out this Sunday.  Now I just have to pick between Wilhelm or Pymie.  Considering I can't catch my butt on Pymie with both hands...

Also could check out Arthur, but all the fish will be down the Muddy Creek arm and I suck on that side of the lake.
