Big Tuna 146 shots per hour x 10 daylight hours= 1460Â I'm not buying it.lol
Weather you believe me or not will not change what I experienced. I have nothing to gain by lieing on the number of shots I recorded. Buying it or not, Iâm perfectly ok with either.

I though deer had to be legally tagged in the ear according to Pa. game laws ?

Good thing I processed the deer prior to the photo, where I could then move the tag legally to the antler in preparation for the europian mount as the rule book states. I did that for identified at the taxidermist. Thank you for looking out for my well being. 2nd to the last sentence in attachment image. Attachments are not available: Download requirements not met

It says attached to the ear .....if the tag was already in the ear when harvested and you had it processed why would you move it to the antler ? Just wondering .......

I clearly state why I move the tag in my above response.

A person hunting my property on opening day heard three distant shots.
On the first Tuesday afternoon, I heard one shot, perhaps several hundred yards away at the neighborâs.
On the first Wednesday, the person hunting my property heard no shots.
On the first Thursday afternoon, I heard one shot, in the same spot at the neighborâs.
On the first Friday afternoon, I heard one shot, in the same spot at the neighborâs.
On the first Saturday, the person hunting my property heard two distant shots.
On the second Tuesday afternoon, I heard no shots.
On the second Thursday afternoon, I heard no shots.
On the second Friday afternoon, I heard no shots.
On the last day morning, I heard five shots that were so distant that they were barely identifiable as shots.
On the last day afternoon, I heard no shots.
It was a weird season.
BTW, I didnât hear any shots at all in archery đ

757 shots fired on the 1st Saturday. I dont have a clicker but keep a count. I cant stop doing it. By far the most shots I have ever counted in 1 day. Just over 600 was the most a couple of years ago. I was well over a 100 in the 1st hour of shooting light. BH

Somewhere north of 30 shots this past Saturday where the kids and I were at up in northern Warren Co. Nothing really close to us though. We hung it up at 2pm so I am sure there was more shooting in the late afternoon.

I have no clicker but I will tell you the most shots ever heard on an opening day or any deer hunting day in Pa. in my 35 years of hunting. It was the first year they ( Pa. ) allowed both doe and buck (no antler restrictions ) to be harvested on opening day . With the saying that year by tons of hunters" if it's brown it's down " ! Never heard anything close to that amount of rifle shooting "ever" ! I have no idea in shot numbers but it was steady shooting all day long. Can't remember the year ? I'll let the deer tag go, but I'm not swayed as a seasoned hunter on the move.

Lemme add that duck season was in in our nw zone until December 8 I'm guessing 90% of the shots where shotguns I drove over that swamp yesterday and it was loaded with birds it's nothing to burn 100 shells skybusting or shooting cripples in shot a box at a single diver cripple so in that aspect it could be possible
I'd rather be lucky then good, but im to good to be lucky

Got this guy on Friday the 7th, just after 9am, with the trusty ol 25-06. I always tag deer in the ear, as the book says. I use zip tie, cause I could care less about a taxidermy mount. I had the horns cut-off at the processer, and will get a plaque. If you really want to get a deer head mounted, and comply with the law, use a safety pin. You will never see the pin mark. It's too bad PGC is pretty lax on the ear tagging law.

Congrats on the buck....getting it done late into the season. Glad the PGC is lax on the tagging law. As long as it's tagged, what's the big deal? It does let the I-net Jr. game wardens get their posting on though....so there is that.
