PROBLEMS while wading

Do you guys ever experience the problem when you are wading and you get a tangle around the top eyelit or you want to tie on a new lure but it is difficult because you don't have anywhere to place your rod to work on it?
I am in an Engineering class and am developing a solution to this problem. Do you think that you guys would be interested in a solution to this?

    A guy from my home town invented one about 40 years ago. It was called the SonCor rod holder. It went on your belt or wading belt. He used to sell them at outdoor shows and flea markets (this was before the days of internet and infomercials).

    Eventually, he signed a licensing deal with Mann’s Bait Company.

    I believe he died a few years ago.
