Ha haaaa....... That migrationation isn't one one them contagious diseases like the flu, is it. [cough cough.]😁

No report yet from Mopars guys, let's hope Steve is draggin one out.
well first off congrats to Thunderpole on his buck also ...had interesting afternoon sit todsy. Someone or something broke my door in on my hunting shanty . Thought at first maybe a bear but after looking at things nothing was tore up inside ...found this Monday afternoon so fixed things up this afternoon before I hit the stand . Thinking maybe some smart azz that I maybe have ****ed off ..so while siting in stand 4:30 ish I hear something coming from the thicket area , now I had rattled , grunted a little while earlier .i look and see this deer heading my way right for the scrape. Looks like a pretty nice deer so with bow in hand and heart pumping as You say BTDT ..it goes to the scrape works it some could not see horns so thought well if it is a nice doe taking it .. heading closer to me just walking got within 20 yds of me turned toward me and it was a little spike .... all I could say to myself was are you kidding me ...only deer I saw tonight but hey it was exciting ...checked my camera and did have a nicer wide buck probably 6pt maybe an 8 .. last night at 11:30 figures !! So that my report .... good luck y’all .. rain tomorrow , sounds like it anyways

WELLLLLLLLLLLLL SUGAR POPS Steve, I was so hoping to see some good pics. Cool story though, thoroughly enjoyed hearing your adventure except the broken door part.

Sounds like you might need to hide a field cam close by, then post some pictures. Or if you'd like to sit and watch for action, I'm not busy and would join you for some good chyts and giggles.

Get back out there neighbor, the next heart thumper may not be a spike.

Good luck.

It's not drizzling in my neck of the woods,it's raining pretty hard. After a 9 hour sit yesterday it's disappointing. I had a 6 pts at 8 am at 15 yards, then 3 doe but on another trial out of range, than an elusive BB at 5 yards lol Then at 2:30 a beautiful spike took the 15 trail. It's was 4:00pm and I wanted to hunt till dark but needed food and beverage. My son went to Ohio to our spot 2 deer and coyote. He went to check out a woods we just got permission to hunt. He walk in to scout and deer where everywhere. He went back got his bow and climber. He picked a tree and had a dream hunt,he saw 4 bucks and 5 does in a few hours. Definitely a hot doe in the area because he saw this giant heavy horn 7 pts 11 times out of his stand. He said I at its closest 25 but in the thickets. This deer circled his stand 2 times but just didn't respond to a grunt call.  I told him he doesn't want to fight,he wants to make love.lol Looks like Sunday I'll be putting up a couple of ground blinds.lol

Well, its slowly picking up. Saw a few small racked bucks yesterday. No shooters. Pouring here now. Hoping to get out this afternoon if it slows from a deluge to a drizzle. Then off to sit in a tree tomorrow in the 30 mph winds. Sunday is going to be beautiful though! Oh yeah. What am I thinking. We can't hunt on a Sunday........

It's a tough year,if dpms doesn't get one.lol I've been so close twice this year. I had 3 shooters at 35-40 yards, all solid 8 pts in the 16"-17" range. The 2 chasing the same doe on Wednesday where so close to dying. I'm got not and arrow flinger. I've wounded 3 deer with a bow/ crossbow and it isn't fun. It been at least 12-14 years since the last one,and I promised myself never to do that again. Good luck guys. Ite down to 2 days then off to Ohio or 2B. I gotta get one somewhere ? lol

Well totally pasted on the afternoon hunt been raining all day thought maybe would give me a break but NO !! So 2 things I have decided about this hunting venture today #1 IT’S RAINING and #2 I’M TO DANG OLD to be sitting in stand in this crap, besides that I’ve been informed from my better half there will be no more wall mounts going on our walls . So I asked her where is she moving to.... 🍺🍺😜... oh excuse me I need to get some more pain meds ...😜👍

Hunted in the snow this morning, saw a 4pt and while walking back to the house to get dry gloves saw a shooter locked down on a doe unfortunately she didn’t come no where near me and he never got more than 10 yards from her. Afternoon hunt in the rain only produced 1 skipper running by as it got dark.

Hey Mopars.... how many times before ya learn to duck?? lol Hope it only hurts when ya laugh.

Golly did I cover some ground today. Made my way just south of the Sharon Speedway turning north along rt 7 picking up rt 322 stalking around Williamsfield. Found out the price of gasoline jumped substantially over last week at Andover before following 7 & 6 north eventually turning east on rt 6 back into the Pennsylvania Wilds briefly side tracking on North Shore Dr before continuing east to Linesville turning south, passing "Where The Ducks Walk On The Fish".

Would have been an excellent day at the spillway, noone snagging walleye but continued past Pymie into Jamestown picking up rt 58 into Greenville stopping at Pizza Hut before arriving back home, where I consumed all but two pieces of a medium Supreme Pizza.

(Note to self: Take Pepcid 'before' pigging out, next time.)

The Gooder part of the trip was messing with the Stupid Nuvi GPS. I knew for the most part, where I was heading so when the stupid thing said turn left, I didn't turn. What fun. Ever have your GPS call you an aszhole?

Did I mention, I did not see one stupid deer😴😴😴

😡 Anybody know who the hell was knocking on my front door this morning??? Dam, wake me up at 9:00 AM and on a Saturday to boot. The odasity of some people.

Posted sign at the front of the property says "by appointment only" for a reason.

But anyways, I look outside seeing partially cloudy skys or in laymen terms, mostly clear skys which when decyphered, means a mix of sun and clouds with a 50/50 possibility it may not rain.

Wind is from South South West giving wind chills of 19 degrees F.

Good luck to those who embark to the Pennsylvania Wilds or the Buckeye Flatland in search, of the elusive White Tailed Deer.

As for me, it's Saturdaaaa..😴😴😴😴

Yesterday I hunted all afternoon in the rain and seen zero deer. Did an all dayer today in the steady 20 mph wind and froze my azz off. Ended up seeing 6 doe, 2 spikes and 2 8 points. Passed one of the 8 points up at 15 yards. Probably one of my dumber moves at this point in the season.

Yea I say so dpms. I only hunted the morning daylight till 11:00 am. 6 doe ,one 4pts and very small 8pts with some sort of injuries. From the way he hobbled around I think he may have been hit with a vehicle. Twas windy and raw, with dusting of snow. Roads where dicey at 5:30 am a little salt would have helped. Monday's it or 2B. Good hunters.

Hi PT

Hunted in the snow today saw 6 in the morning 2 little bucks chasing some doe. Wind was brutal in the morning 20+ with gusts over 30. Afternoon I saw 8-10 doe and 2 bucks, 1 was a nice looking 8 or 10 but closest he got was about 60yds. One more day

Re: Archery season 2018 2018/11/10 21:09:55 (permalink)
Mopars, I was in a nice warm seat most of the day but not my recliner. That big ole pick-em up truck of mine, got heated seats and steering wheel too. Sweet!!

My hunting expierience today, turned out to be once again, fruitless.

But some yinz might recall my last episode where I purposely messed with the NUVI GPS System by turning the wrong way or taking different routes to my destination. 😁😁

So this mid morning... Um, OK afternoon, while embarking on my hunt, I placed the key in the ignition awaking all the bells, whistles and chimes, telling me diagnostics has identified no problems and we have "all systems go" from mission control.

Except one support system which is "searching for satellites" but can't find any until I back out of the garage which I didn't immediately do, just to see how long the stupid thing would keep searching which it did not. Once out of the garage I had to click "try again".😏 Which the thing did and once accomplishing it's mission, sounded a deliteful chime and saying to me "Hello, where to today.... aszhole"??

Only saw one deer all day but I have no idea what-so-ever, how long it's been laying in the ditch.

I did see however, not one but, two antlerless woodchucks feeding in a harvested cornfield aaaaand it was only 26 degrees outside according to my temperature gizmo on the dash of my pick-em up truck. I know the temperature had to be correct because diagnostics said "all systems go" before starting my engine.

But the Gooder part, not one but two groundhogs and they didn't see each others shadows so it must gonna be a short winter. Or maybe, a really really long fall... sweet!!

Tomorrow my hunting adventures return me once again to the Sharpville area of the Pennsylvania Wilds and maybe another trip to the Brookfield area of the Buckeye flatlands.

I'll try to post ASAP but may be later as I don't expect somebody knocking on my door, so early in the mid morning. Unless they don't see the 24" x 24" sign now in my driveway that says. "GO AWAY" ...... ASZHOLE

Well decided to let one fly this morning. At 750 i caught movement to my right and this fella strolled into my 25 yard lane and i decided he would do. At the shot he horse kicked and slowly walked away and lingered then headed into the thicket. 2 minutes later i heard a crash.
