Gander Outdoors

The new Gander Outdoor store in Greensburg had it's grand opening today. Fishing dept probably isn't quite as big as the old Gander Mtn store, at least they have the reels out where you can see them. Didn't look like they carry live bait. Gun dept looked good, prices on guns and ammo were way better than the old store. $63 for a 250 count of CCI 40 cal ammo! Seems like they sell a little bit of everything, would be nice to just have a store that was nothing but hunting/fishing stuff.

How many years can a business be written off as a loss?

Give a man a fish and you will feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you will feed him for a life time. ~Anne Isabella Thackeray Ritchie (1837–1919)~

They will be getting bait tanks in September this year. Not sure if they are going to carry bait Thursday the winter.

Gander opened to great fanfare a couple of years ago next to me in Monroeville..Lasted barely a year. I cannot believe they are still at it. The live bait never did arrive in that time despite the promises...Plenty of live bullets though...Hmmmm...

Go in open minded. Remember, Gander Mountain is gone. This is Camping World's venture. They also bought Overton's but left it alone. It did well as is.

But those places never have bait when you need it like during ice season. I bought all my bait this past winter at the pet shop.

Drove to the Johnstown store which was supposed to have opened yesterday and it was still closed. A contractor working there said most of the stores he has reopened have been two months behind schedule.
