Eaton reservoir ice fishing plans for sunday

so ok i know ice isnt greatest right now so i figure eaton should be safe all around to fish by sunday right? any reports or opinions on what or whether i should go or not?

    Best I can tell is French Creek above Lowville is hovering at 11 feet which is about 2 feet from minor flooding.  If the French Creek water shed in that area got that much rain/melt off, I would think Eaton ice might be submerged for a day or two.  Especially if the reservoir is used for flood control.    With this latest storm system, the roads may not in the best of shape for a day or two but road trips, are always fun.

    How is the ice there? What tools will you be using? I am currently looking at auger reviews here and I don't know what to choose.
