Danesdad,  The section of coon you fished get hit hard.  Coon gets alot of fish stocked in it.  That IMO hurts the natives.  Head up stream following the game commision acess rd.  You will like the walk and the amount of fish in the stream.

Thanks for the tip.  I hadn't tried upstream cause the water looked nicer going downstream from the bridge.  I'll try to get up there this year.

beaver dams still there , last fall i sneeked up on one
and one beaver came swimming down, then 2 more, they
checked their dam out and then had a good time playing around
i even observed two of them kissing it seemed like.
went back next day with camera but it got really cold and
i only stayed about aq hour and they didn't come around

Actually an acidity issue . . . fish can survive, but beat feat south (actually due west at that juncture) for Tionesta Ck. shortly after stocked.  They stopped stocking pre-season several years ago because of that, and the stocked brookies inseason either get caught or get out very quickly as well.

If you're an avid canoeist, put in at Kelletville and float fish to Nebraska bridge . . . MANY stockies well into the summer holding in pocket and pools . . . linger where Coon empties in--they're in there--but so are the Muskellunge looking for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Going from Kelletville to nebraska is a great little trip.  Have not done that for a few years might have to this year.

I like Tom's Run, Cather' Run,Callen Run, Salmon Creek, Clear Creek, Maple ck ,Coon ck , Bluejay ck. Anywhere is good, plus lots of native streams, check out the pafb site to class A streams and Etc...  Good Luck. Its my favorite place to fish. Not all of these are in Forest County, but all with in 25 mins from Cook Forest.

That makes sense, the creek is nice and clear-like acid creeks often are.

Nice pics.  Been in a bad mind frame today.  Those pics made me smile.  I will have to look for pics of the bridge completely under.  I got some some where.  I need to get up there soon.
