Deer where everywhere.

Last night around 7 pm I decided to check one of my early Shroom sheephead trees. I saw over 20 plus doe and fawns,no bucks.  I did harvest one small mushroom around 1.5 pounds. I'm seeing plenty of doe and fawns but no bucks lately.

    Saw the first non velvet buck on Monday evening in the neighborhood.

    I saw my first set of fawn feeding in my East 15, this past weekend. No horns of any type so far. Game cameras need removed from the shelf, fresh batteries and, tied to a tree.

    Enjoyed seeing the deer, they're just so danged cute.

    We have a lot of this going on down here. EHD taking its toll in many areas.

    We have a lot of this going on down here. EHD taking its toll in many areas. 
     

    Just read about EHD in PA Outdoor News.   Said hundreds of deer died.  If it isn't CWD it's EHD.   What next?  I guess you are right in the middle of that.

    The only thing better than 1 day of fishing is 2 days of fishing.

      I guess you are right in the middle of that.



    Surrounded by it. Many areas are getting decimated. A good friend had found close to two dozen over the past two weeks in his hunting area. Most are in or close to water. Within a day or two of dying, nothing is left but a pile of black slime. Horrible disease and the bad part is it keep hitting the same areas over and over.

    Here is a buck found in his area. Bleeding from the nose and mouth. Just died.
