Buying a boat

My current boat is a 1987 Lund 5.5 Tyee. Real nice boat, still in great condition. A friend offered to sell me his grandfather's 1990 Sea Nymph GLS 19.5 in great condition, little use. Does anybody think this would be an improvement over my current boat? I've heard Sea Nymphs have problems with rivets coming loose, is that true? Thanks for responses.
