Crooked Creek Lake or Keystone Power Dam?

My work schedule doesn't allow me time to get out very much but I may have the opportunity later this week. Trying to decide between going to Crooked Creek or Keystone due to their proximity to where I live. Any opinions as to which would be better for panfish, maybe catfish, this time of year?

    I would consider the weather, I have fished both but won't claim to be an expert about either... but it seems that Crooked Creek is more prone to getting muddy with rain. Ask the fellows who fish it more often than I have if it has been muddy recently and if it has impacted the bite.

    payaker, Crooked Creek is 20+ ' over normal right now, prob won't be even able to get on it this week.You need to keep checking the resivoire reports to plan a trip there or call the office. Anything over 850' they shut the ramp road & the road to the beach.  sam

    Thanks!  It was my understanding the waters had receded a bit, but guess not.  Do you know if KPD has similar issues after heavy rains?

    KPD is good. It is a bit muddy. but fishable.  It is not a flood control lake as CC is.
