Treerats! 2016

Made it out with my dad this morning for our annual Thanksgiving squirrel hunt. Pretty foggy out, but the feist dog brought her A game today for her 1st trip out this year. 9 trees equaled 4 for the freezer, 1 that got hung up in the tree, and 4 that managed to make it to den trees. Think it's gonna be a great year for her if we don't get piles of snow. Was an awesome morning with my dad.

Great hunt,I'm still going to get a feist dog. Had a pup lined up but had the surgery this year. Looks like outstanding fun. Ohio would be great hunting because 90 percent of the squirrels are fox and probably hide on the tree rather than den like their grey cousins. Congrats on your hunt and the outstanding dog work. It's so much fun hunting small game with a dog. It's definitely something to look forward to,when I get less serious about deer hunting.. You can do this every day and have fun and action. Love it,plus there my favorite on the table.

It's a different kind of squirrel hunting, and I'm sure I could see alot more by sitting and picking them off, but watching the dog work is really alot of fun. Those little greys sure can be a pain hopping from tree to tree 😬
