Big Tuna,  Sounds like a new lease that's wonderful. Sure is something that med field has come so far in many ways. In my heart the Good Lord is with us to. I have had my own health skirmishes.

Big Tuna...I'm sure you are tired of hearing folks say to pace yourself...but, unfortunately, that is the best option....I'm glad you came through surgery so well and doubly glad you are back home (which is the best medicine by far!) but hope you pay very close attention to anything your body is telling you. I have faith you will continue to improve and regain the independence you crave but avoiding set backs is still crucial. 'Slow' may be frustrating now, but continue to celebrate the small victories and your end goal will soon be reached!

I can only imagine the frustrations you are facing every day, but don't let them distract you from your goals. Your friends are cheering you on! I am happy to hear of your improving abilities and look forward to hearing of your first 'post surgery ' fishing trip!

Get well.  The deer will wait.

My mom just had a heart attack three weeks ago to the day while on vacation with my aunt, uncle and cousins down in Sandbridge, VA.  She was having it through the night and couldn't sleep but being as stubborn as she is, didn't wake anyone.  She then started packing her car in the AM and told everyone she was driving back home since she didn't feel well.  Thank god my relatives were all there and made her go to the ER.  Once there, they gave her an EKG and within 20 minutes, that had her on a table, gave her a heart cath and put in a stent.  100% blockage on one artery but all the rest were good.  Weird but, she is working through it now. Has to wear a "life vest" 24/7 until her next appt. on Nov. 15th.   Her EF is low still and she did have some damage to her heart.  Nov. 15th appt. will tell the tale.

Be glad they caught yours when they did.  One more deer drag this fall could have been your last.  I assume you had a quad bypass?  Follow their orders for therapy, diet and stay away from the "bad stuff" and you should be good to go.

If you are in the south hills area and need some help setting some stands or ground blinds when you are feeling up to it, shoot me a PM.

Tuna  I'm still here pulling for you also......  not until your ready, but when you are, always a seat open on the Fish Hawk.  Hey, something to do while you are recuperating,  maybe convince somebody to get a back problem fixed?  One other thing, I think Fisherlady2 has some very sound advice soooooo,  listen-up!

eyesndgillz, Godspeed and a complete recovery to your mom, our thoughts and prayers will be with her.
