Number 2

He is a great old bird. Wing tips gone. Breast feathers thinned out from fighting. Very light from the rigors of mating. 10 1/4 inch beard. Spurs both at 1.5
Shot him with the brand new BearX Fisix FFL. This bow just hit the market 2 weeks ago. Swhacker 2 blade broadhead, Lumenok, Muddy arrow.
Just as I wrapped up the pictures, the sky opened up. A tough year as far as hearing birds for me but patience paid off in spades.

Sorry for the drowned rat pictures. He was soaked.

Nice to see your bird hunting turned out great after a not so gooder, white tail season.  Congrats on your double header.

How much did this bird way.  He looks kind of scrawny.  lol  Probably 5 years or older.  Congrats on number 2.  I am still after number 1.

He was a very light bird as you suspected. I did not weigh him but I would be surprised if he was 16 pounds. I think he was old bird just plum wore out from this spring.

Nice bird, but the feathers missing from his breast aren't from fighting.lol just the opposite. He was a breeder.lol Old monarch 3 or 4 year old at least. Good bird I'm sure he pasted his genetics on to many hens.Congrats.
