Doe apps in JULY?!?!?!?!?!?!

Anyone see this?

"
Under the new timeline, residents will apply for regular antlerless deer licenses on the second Monday in July (rather than the first Monday in August); nonresidents will apply for regular antlerless deer licenses on the last Monday in July (rather than the third Monday in August); residents and nonresidents will apply for the first round of unsold antlerless deer licenses on the first Monday in August (rather than the second Monday in September); and residents and nonresidents will apply for the second round of unsold antlerless deer licenses on the third Monday in August (rather than the third Monday in September)."

WHAT THE F'!!!!!!!!

My wife is really gonna hate the Game Commission for this one!  The moment I by my license and have to decide where I'm going to hunt when, that's the moment I stop all "normal" brain functions and begin to prepare for killing deer.  This second week in July crap is gonna drive her nuts!

Realistically, I start planning for the next season's hunts while I'm still hunting a current season, but I don't really have to make a decision on anything until mailing time for doe tags.  This earlier and earlier crap has to stop!   I'd love to know why it's happening, 'cause this don't cut it for me:

"Also, we have proposed to move up the beginning of the application period, which will ensure that county treasurers will have mailed back to hunters all antlerless deer licenses prior to the opening of the archery season."

It shouldn't take 3 months for them to begin with!

cause the f'dup system they created......they should just issue the licences and cut a check to the counties to buy them off.  We have the screwiest system in the nation.  Our county treasurers mailed my round 1 and round 2 licences out the same day....How does that happen?

Better too far back, than too far forward.

the legislature made the system, and the treasurers don't want it changed, so don't blame it on the PGC.  if you want it done right, then contact your representitive and **** at them.  they are your elected officials and should do you bidding.  so if enough people complain and threaten not to vote for them, they will listen.  but until that happens, we are not given any consideration, because we are a weak voting block.  hunters/fishermen talk a good game but rarely follow through.
