🤭😅😂🤣🤗 Impeach a POTUS for doing the job he was elected to do.

Ya know, 🤔 I've posted some 'off the cuff' conspiracy's since this thread began but now, seeing the actions by Pelosi and her House of Swampcrats..... I done scared myself, in thinking I just might be correct.

Nancy Pelosi has lost her mind 🤯 annnnnnd Trump is laughing all the way back to the White House.🤗

Dems will likely try and delay the nomination through some kind of silly time consuming legal process brought before a Liberal Fed Court like the 9th circuit- Ny or Dc.
They will also very likely keep their promise of resistance through riots and arson  and large anti demonstrations- thinking this is a good thing and not realizing Reps dont do those things- we just sit back and get enraged and wait for them to cross the invisible line.

They just keep poking the sleeping tiger----------

There’s only one thing that will stop a Trump nominee from receiving hearings and a confirming vote: public opinion. Won’t take any conspiracies or gyrations. If it stalls it will be due to R senators bowing to pressure.

P.S. Nancy Pelosi did not rule out burning Trump at the stake or kidnapping him in order to prevent him from making a SCOTUS nomination. Now why didn’t Fox News cover those non-stories as well as the impeachment angle? Guess it’s because the Fox correspondent neglected to ask!

Eyeball, no way. They won't kidnap him. They don't want him as a hostage. But burnin' him at the stake is a possibility. They could just say he got caught up in the wrong peacef.., I mean riot, and BLM/Antifa threw him on the bonfire by mistake.

Ok, MyWar. Have you forgotten that Obama was heading for the end of his second term? Have you forgotten that the Republicans held the Senate majority? Have you forgotten, (or maybe you never learned), that it is the duty of the President to nominate; it is the duty of the Senate to confirm?

Please don’t pretend there is any rational, logical argument that justifies McConnell stalling Scalia’s replacement and fast tracking RBG’s. We all know it’s just bald-faced hypocrisy. Plain and simple.

MyWar, please don't pretend that if Harry Reid had held the majority in the Senate that the exact same thing wouldn,t have happened. It is not a bald faced hypocracy; it's politics, and the Republicans hold the Senate. Get over it!

It was USA Today, not Fox, reported through MSN, which isn’t exactly conservative.

Nice try on the spin though.

Indeed they do, except for the election of Barack Obama in 2012?
I would support a law requiring timely Senate consideration and an up or down vote for all SCOTUS and cabinet-level nominations. Further, the President should be REQUIRED to make timely nominations to these posts in order to avoid the avalanche of unqualified hacks in acting positions that Trump has given us.

It’s not just a Fox News story as you tried to spin it with your post. It might have been reported on Fox, but they weren’t the originator. It was ABC news, I believe.

It’s not really the origin of the headline that bothers me (although when I searched Fox came up first.). It’s the “when did you stop beating your wife?” Nature of the question, and, the subsequent-looking at you here- re-telling with the implication that the words came from Pelosi’s mouth. They did not. They came from a headlin writer. This is political rhetoric 101.

When the Lib reporter asked Pelosi about impeachment she declined to directly answer that question and punted a bit talking about hypothetical measures to block.
Even she didnt go with the Lib press bait.
Like all these things it took on a life of its own - likely because she didnt directly say NO- which she didnt have to do IMHO because it wasnt her statement- just a reporter trying to put HIS opinions in her mouth.
Am not a fan of hers but it simply wasnt on the table till the press got involved throwing it out there.

The senate never even voted on Obama’s nomination because McConnell wouldn’t even bring Obama’s nomination to the floor for a vote. And McConnell made this decision before Obama had even had even picked a nominee. Mitch McConnell =/= the senate.

Elections surely do have consequences. The election was eights months away when Scalia died in 2020. We are only 42 days from the 2020 election. It’s just complete hypocrisy.

I think she answered it that way because she hadn’t thought of it up to that point and the press helped her out by suggesting the possibility.

RBG made it clear that she did not like Trump.
She was a Liberal justice and when OBO was president and tried to make a last minute appointment to the Supreme Court
she openly supported it.
Unfortunately for Obo- the Dems -and RBG, there was a Rep Senate at the time.
No comparison to whats happening now with one party  holding both White House and Senate.

RBG was also giving the option from oblameo to retire while he was president but she refused to do. She has only herself to blame if trump gets his nominee to replace her

I think you can make a reasonable argument that this chain of events was set in motion when Harry Reid nuked the filibuster for judicial nominees in 2013.

And McConnells decision to nuke the filibuster for scotus noms as well as the McConnells stacking of lower courts during trumps term are also both direct consequences of Harry Reid’s actions back in 2013.

But now McConnell won’t even play by his own rules and he’s just making it up as he goes along.

When Democrats add two (or four) more liberal justices to the scotus bench the next time they have the house + senate + presidency (a move which I am NOT in favor of btw), what are you gonna say then? Because that’s the direction we are going when the precedent is set for the party in power to just make up rules to their own benefit.

I'm going to say; Pelosi, Nadler, annnnnd Schiff have been making up their own rules for decades but there are those of you, who run around on your elbows, who will never admit the true problems and just want to troll blogs. amirite?
