Guess Mr. President has some enemies traveling with him. Not that they might have any insight, mind you, but the walk-off music at Trump’s Latrobe appearance this week was “Fortunate Son” by CCR. That is beautiful.

Somewhere In the 12th through 16th. I try to go as early as I can, usually before DSR jacks its rates, but it’s not working out this year. This coming week’s weather looks like too much heat and sun. Like to wait on a few consecutive nights in the 50s or lower. I’ve seen the reports and if I lived close, I’d be there. But...I make one salmon trip so I watch the conditions closely and try and anticipate. My bags are packed.

Hey eyeball, where're ya plannin' on fishin'? I'd really like to do Olcott or Orchard beach. Haven't been salmon fishin', (or even steelheadin') for like 6 or 7 years now. I wonder if Coumo even allows out-of-staters in NY?

I learned everything about NY’s COVID rules through the DSR website which links up to NY travel restrictions. There’s a list of states from which travelers into N.Y. have to quarantine for 14 days. Pa (my home) is not one of those states, nor are any other states bordering NY if I’m remembering right. I do my one salmon trip in Douglaston. Later on, and in the Spring, I’ll fish all over and specifically not in the DSR. But, I like to swing and drift flies for the big guys so I try to get a crack at them early and down low before they’re stomped on. I’m wondering if the DSR is going to be “enforcing” the travel restrictions or if they’re just going to rely on individual compliance and their own disclaimers - I would think the latter.

After salmon petered out in Erie I would fish Olcott and Oak Orchard, just chucking spoons. After I retired in ‘11 I ventured over to Oswego Co and got into fly fishing. Still, most of my salmonid fishing is spent on steelhead in Pa and Western N.Y.

Most people do.

Now that that is settled, you might want to look up some links that contain information that it is alleged, by unnamed sources or in a self-published tell-all book, that Trump once left the toilet seat up and it is believed that it was on purpose because he hates women and wanted them to fall in.

That is why I'm a firm believer NO ONE should be able to be President or V.P. without having spent time in the military,  not career but at least a 2 year draftee from the good old days. Shouldn't be alouded to send or put people in harm's way unless you have been there. And that's my final post on that subject.

I'd don't know, but just a thought. It seems to me that Trump is removing soldiers from harms way, that were put there by pasts presidents. Am I wrong?

Walleye Jigs about your post about no one should be allowed to be president or vp unless they served in military that way it would be ok for them to send troops.Well that would be a God send for the last 70 years we wouldn't of had the tragedy of roosvelt, Clinton, Obama,Ford and perhaps Uncle Joe. Heres how I feel no one should be allowed to vote unless they can pass a civics test, prove who they are with just those two  we wouldn' have have the idiots that were elected!!! I did forget a couple Reagan, ask ussr about him.Truman ask Japan, Nixon ask me he brought me home and thats all i have to say anout that

Bob Woodward apparently conducted 19 interviews with Trump, and has over 10 hours of audio. Only three were “official” White House interviews, which were properly vetted and done through proper channels. The rest were just Trump calling Woodward and blabbing about whatever Woodward could get out of him. Nobody knows what Trump said on the those tapes yet, except Woodward.

How many of you MAGA folks think it was a good idea for Trump to talk to BOB FREAKING WOODWARD, the guy that brought down Nixon, the guy that already wrote one unflattering book about Trump... Are you worried that he said a ton of stupid sh1t that is only going to blow up in his face right before the election?

Trump apparently ASKED Woodward to write this book. He actively and deliberately sought this attention. It seems like a monumentally bizarre unforced error. Just....why?

But I’d say he also clearly wants to win the election as well, even if he doesn’t want the work and responsibility that goes along with actually being the president. “Winning” is a big thing for him.

I’m sure he enjoys the rallies. Who wouldn’t. Ask the pro athletes who are playing without crowds if they like that better or a full stadium better.

I’m also sure he got to play far more golf before he was President.

Yes. Clearly that’s the case.

But objectively speaking, he has created one scandal after another by opening his mouth instead of exercising caution or discretion. It appears he actually DOES have lots of things that he should be hiding, or at least not drawing unnecessary attention to, especially in an election year. And we’re talking about Bob Woodward here, not some reporter from Fox News or OAN lobbing a bunch softballs. Woodward knows how to get people to talk.

So the big question here is whether this is a wise decision, or an unnecessary risk.

The Democrats, and the media created the scandals one after other, not Trump. They keep throwing "scandals" out there every week, only to be proven untrue days, weeks, or sometime many months later. The bigger question is why people like you are always on here parroting these media made up scandals, but never go back and correct your misinformed claims, and links, when they are proven false. Made up scandals huh?

Let’s try to imagine a world where Barack Obama is still the president, and for the last 7 months there has been a devastating public health crisis coupled with a crippling economic recession. Let’s imagine that during this entire time, Barack Obama has been downplaying the seriousness of the crisis and calling it a hoax despite the fact that it has killed 200,000 Americans. Then let’s imagine that an audio recording surfaces from month #1 of this 7 month event, and in this audio recording, Obama acknowledges that he knew all along how dangerous the public health crisis was and yet he deliberately lied about the danger to the general public.

Or how about you imagine a scenario where Obama insults a Gold Star family on Twitter?

Or how about you imagine a scenario where Russia put bounties on US troops and Obama does nothing?

Or how about you imagine a scenario where, during a press conference, Obama suggests: “hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light” and “Supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way.”

How about you imagine a scenario where Obama pays off a porn star to cover up an affair?

How about you imagine a scenario where Obama bragged on a hot mic about “grabbing women by the puussy”?

I could go on, but you get the point. I think we both know what your reaction would have been if Obama had conducted himself like this.

Even some of the Trump people on this board have acknowledged that he says too much dumb shiit and they wish he would keep his mouth shut more often.

Also, it’s not a “misinformed claim” when there is an audio recording of it, or he said it a press conference, or it came from his twitter account.

Actually... The Clintons were kinda like this. They did dumb shiit and brought unnecessary heat on themselves. But Trump makes even the Clintons look like amateurs when it comes to his verbal and social media diarrhea.

After eight years of Obama doing stupid stuff, the country was looking for someone like Trump. Trump may say stupid stuff, but doesn't do stupid stuff. At least as President. You can say want you want, but Obama, Hillary, and Biden are the masters of doing stupid stuff, not mentioning all the corrupt stuff.

If this virus occurred with Obama, Hillary, or Biden in office you can just as easily say there would be twice as many deaths, maybe 10 times as many. You don't know how badly they would of screwed things up. If there were 400,000 deaths to this point under Obama, would be praising him for doing such a great job of containing the virus against all the odds. Care to compare the number of deaths from H1N1 in Europe with the number in the US. Wonder who was in charge of that blunder. Let us know what you find out.

Did the Atlantic Magazine scandal pan out for you? Have any additional proof the bounty scandal is true? The Mueller hoax? I could go on, but you get the point.

devastation wasn't caused by the pandemic.
There was never a shortage of beds, gear or staff even in the worst of it in NYC

the devastation was caused by the panicked reaction to it .
and we'll be living with that  for the next two generations regardless who's in office

panicked, scared and selfish screwed the pooch on this one .
in 5 years from now, many will rue the day they  freaked out and caused this

I can understand the concept of panic causing devastation.  If capable leadership that followed science and the lead of other countries that have experienced these epidemics, we wouldn't have needed to do any shutdowns and nowhere near the panic would have ensued.  So yes, if done correctly, minimal panic and minimal devastation (many countries to choose from as examples).

After doing no prep and refusing to follow the lead of others that have experienced similar before (because he is the expert of everything), once it hit in NYC, then cases showed up throughout the entire US, there wasn't much other choice than to take a pause and see what the F was going on.  Even our NY metro resident conservative RG3G is still rather weary of traveling and public interaction per his posts, is he part of the deep state too???  That shish was for real in NYC and was for real in Miami, Texas, Arizona, Philadelphia, Detroit and other places.  It is rather random of how it happens and where, but if it gets a good community spread, it takes off, no matter city, suburb, or small town.  Instead of researching how those other countries that were able to contain things, they said, reopen, get back to normal...

He had a free pass to figure something out, it is a new virus, the entire world was stumped and effected.  Sure, you messed up to begin with, but you paused to correct things, no?  No correction...  He banked on it going away in the summer and it didn't.  Then doubled down on it.

The latest strategy seems to be, it isn't anything, until it hits your town.  Then don't tell others that it is real...

Panic you say.... let's be real. IMO we all know who is pushing the panic button annnnnd why they are promoting fear.

Doesn't require anyone capable of common sense, to see what's been occuring the past 4 years.

Some y'all been blaming Trump not from panic, but anxiety likely brought about by paranoia.

Oooooor.... maybe some y'all just can not deal with, you being constantly flat out wrong.

In other news........

I gotta git, places to go, people to see, etc, etc, etc.
