😁 They'll need all the blessing they can get, when Trump is reelected and Pelosi loses her gavel.

I know Pelosi will do what ever it takes to stay in power butt this time I think she is "desperate" to stay in power.

Time will tell... the plot thickens.

A quick introduction: I am not as charitable as Nancy Pelosi. I hate Trump. I believe he may be the anti-Christ. No one can prove that he is not a Russian agent. I believe history will place Trump’s name ahead of Benedict Arnold’s as our most notorious traitor. I do not believe in the necessity for equivocation, like most of the media.. I got nothing good to say about Trump. As matter of fact, a couple weeks ago I complimented Trump for promoting the wearing of masks. Considering what he’s done since, I take that back! There, my record is intact.

Since I keep an open mind and am willing to listen before making a personal judgement decision in order to be educated in the thought process of others, can you please explain what Trump’s policies have you taking the position you state?

Not interested in his personality (I dislike it immensely) or if, could, would, might, may, or anything unsubstantiated, just enacted policies.

This is directed to Ice Nut: Never said it wasn't about bashing Trump. I'm pretty much always gonna bash Trump. No apologies. What I took issue with was being called out PERSONALLY as a conditioned dog, suggesting that I went looking for something to criticize Trump about in connection with this triumphant event, and further that I had no control over this as I am apparently unable to think for myself. To you sir I'll say that A story may start by giving away the ending , however, that's not necessarily the beginning of the story. Please, don't make me the subject of your concern. That's what started this whole harangue. You got problems with my ideas, fine, have at it. I try very hard not to remark about anyone personally on here, and appreciate reciprocity in that regard. It's what drove me to self exile for 6 months and, frankly, I'd like to stick around for a while yet.

I judge the whole man. I, unlike evangelical Christians for example, do not divorce the man's personal and moral atrocities from his public life. Serge Kovaleski- that did it for me. The man mocked a man with a disability for the entertainment of his fans. That's it. Sorry, but that ended it for me. As far as policies....you're asking for a serious critique of a wholly unserious man.

Remarkably, I think I may have a more charitable impression of trump the man than you do.

A Russian agent? Probably not. I think he’s simply an opportunist (and clearly a narcissist, and probably a sociopath). He didn’t invent the brand of politics he’s pushing, and I don’t think he believes most of the crap he says. But he knows how to sell the “Fox News / Infowars / Glenn Beck“ brand of conservatism better than any “regular politician”.

The real villains here are the republicans that know better, but are playing his game anyway for short term political gain. They are the real traitors. And I say “short term” because there is a backlash against “Trumpism” coming, and it’s going to be politically devastating for the Republican Party.

So in other words you can’t come up with a single policy.

As for the dog analogy, that is the conditioning experiment most would be familiar with.

If you can’t separate the analogy from the personal (which it isn’t) then it’s no wonder you hate Trump.

I thought you might have been done one worth having a discussion with. I stand corrected.

Who says I have to play by your rules? You asked. I answered. Let’s leave it there. Maybe keep your comments more in the realm of ideas rather than the personal. No matter how you spin it you took it upon yourself to criticize my critical thinking skills. You didn’t have to do that. You could have been polite.

To the crybabies that keep whining about bias in the “MSM”, and the press treating Trump unfairly, I recommend you listen to the Axios interview. It’s not the press that makes Trump look bad, its Trump that makes Trump look bad. He does it to himself every time he opens his mouth.

But it is perfectly fine for you not to be polite and criticize Trump’s critical thinking skills. A bit hypocritical?

Yes, because Trump is the object of this thread. Our opinions about Trump is the thread’s raison d’etre. In short, he is fair game. Under the acceptable use policies of our host, and in keeping with the norms of polite discourse, you and I are not.

I explained my position clearly in the above post. And you know, you’re pointing up one of the real serious issues with the “culture wars”, and internet commentary specifically. It’s all about wins and losses, yes or no, black or white...the zero sum game. You get to “own” me if I agree with your statement. For better or worse, we live in a world made up of shades of grey and there is great value in being able to hold, understand, argue and explain multiple ideas, simultaneously, that are seemingly diametrically opposed to one another. It’s part of one’s critical thinking abilities.

Hillary Clinton has warned that the 'sabotage' of USPS, including slow mail delivery, is a strategy by Donald Trump to make mail-in voting more difficult and aid his reelection.

Swampcrats gearing up to fix the elections claiming "Uncle Joe" the winner and force Trump from the White House.

By the time the voting fraud is proven and Biden not the winner the Swampcrats will have buried the Barr & Durham investigations, taken our guns away, destroyed the middle class annnnd turned America into a socialist country.

The political backlash you mention will transform politics as we know it, and not just the Republican party.  I've always agreed that Trump will "Make America Great Again", just not in the way he thinks.  The last four years have been the proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back" that has awoken many people on how far we have fallen as a nation. This awakening would not have occurred if Clinton would have won in 2016.

Only 19 percent of Americans voted for Trump, with a large percentage being older generations.  Trump's abuses have really caught the attention of our youth and I think they played a large part in the 2018 elections that brought some new blood into Congress.  Everyone knows Biden is not the solution, but just a first step.  His path to victory is the same as Trump's was, the anti-opponent vote.  If we lean further socialist in the coming years, the republicans can only blame themselves.

Joe Biden isn’t even close to being a socialist. The most “socialist” thing he will ever do is push for a public option for the ACA, and nationalized healthcare is something that every other developed western nation has had for decades.

However if Biden wins, here are the things that republicans will IMMEDIATELY start caring about again:

The deficit
Decency of any kind
Even the slightest indication of nepotism
Russian interference in American democracy
Presidents that don’t “support the troops”

Yep!  They are the party of babies and guns.  How can you get anymore American?  Both falsehoods just to fool the "single issue" voter.  The majority of registered republicans (and democrats) are in favor of some or all types of abortion and common-sense gun control laws.  Even the majority of NRA members support common-sense gun control laws.  But GOP politics will continue to proclaim that Democrats want to kill our babies and take all of our guns to get the radical and non-critical thinking votes, while also blocking reasonable gun laws that could save many of the human lives they pretend to protect.

Amazingly, there are over 20,000 gun laws on the books, but somehow, none of them are "common sense gun laws". How could this happen? Who are these geniuses who wrote, co-sponsored, and passed these laws without any common sense? There is one gun law that is common sense. 20,000? That sounds like something Trump would make up and expect us to believe. You actually believe that convicted felons, mentally ill people, etc... should be allowed to possess guns?  The 2nd amendment says so.
