Exactly what Fishinguy said. When you REGISTER TO VOTE you need the same ID as you would to get a fishing license or other. It is processed to verify that you are a citizen and not an at large felon or other person not allowed to vote. When you go to vote, you should only need to present your name and address, at most, last 4 of your social. Those trying to say that it is easier to cheat the system, than it is to get a fishing license or other, must not have registered to vote or voted lately. You don't just show up and vote. PA law requires ID for first time voters. Having a photo ID law is 99% about suppressing democratic leaning voters. 1% about voter fraud.

That all said, I'd fully support a law that requires a voter to show proof of paying payroll or income tax. Free loaders should have no right to vote. That would also suppress the democratic leaning vote, but might reform some of welfare handouts and force people to work. That, would make America great.

Who said that Porktown?  ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Fishingguy   http://fishandboat.com/fi..b/summary/licenses.html

Social Security Number Requirements - Since 1998, federal and state laws require purchasers of a Pennsylvania fishing license to provide their social security number when applying to purchase a fishing license. One time or another you provided your SS# along with other ID and now that you have a fishing license, a photo ID and CID# will be accepted in purchasing a hunting/fishing license.  Also, the new POS system will allow you to use a previous tag (I used my fishing to purchase my hunting) because you are now assigned a CID# that is the same for both. But, my Photo ID was still required.

No, it wasn't. I've purchased my license online the past, maybe 8 years. Never have I had to provide photo ID. Like usual, Dance boy, dance.

If able and no effort to work, then yes. And trust me, if and when I get to the point of not having to work, and no longer living off of investments (paying income tax), I'd be just fine relinquishing my vote. Those that don't work, and able, should have no right to vote.

Watching the Dems, I am disgusted, but nowhere near surprised. No one applauded Chief McClay for a great speech, like usual, Pittsburgh leading the way for unity among the community. But, overwhelming applause for the parents of "blacks lives matter" mothers. Don't get me wrong, the loss of a child is the biggest nightmare of any parent. Every parent reading this, could not think of any other loss that would kill them internally. My deepest sympathy to any parent reading, that has had to deal with this. And the DNC, PLAYED into that fear!!! Almost sounds like Karl Rove is in the DNC? Most of the kids killed were committing a crime, resisting arrest, and some were trying to kill a cop!!! That is dispicable. That said, all weren't. But, why no families of slayed officers? FU, DNC! I respect law enforcement.

Not sure who said this earlier. Why can't there be both.

Porktown why are you still not understanding what you read?

FYI when you buy the license on line, your information is already on file and they do have your SS# along with a CID#.  When you buy a license at a POS first time buyers will be required to show ID and provide a SS#.   Even though I had a fishing license with my CID# while making a hunting license purchase I was still asked for my drivers license.

Now put this in your bean pipe and smoke it, the LAW requires anyone licensed for hunting/fishing/boating/riding ATVs  to carry and  provide a photo ID when stopped by a law enforcement officer.

Start the music boy.........  cause I'm dancing.

Saw on Fox today, a live shot with protesters and the front line was carrying two banners.  The center banner read "Black Lives Matter" and the banners flanking either side read "Delete Hillary".  Haven't seen anything like that on CNN, yet but I am waiting.

Saw another fine example of Democrat Politicians using and abusing their constituents for their votes, Bernie shoved it to his followers again today when he announced the votes for Vermont.

Let's see Wassermann-Shultz now serves as Hillary's honorary chairman, would I be wrong to suspect Bernie will be her Secretary of State or Attorney General?

Cabinboy,
Are you saying to register to vote, you should show ID, or when you actually vote. I'll wait years for a response for a simple question as usual.
While at it, who knows more about ISIS, Trump, or our Generals? Or, will he "find" better Generals. As they just happen to grow off of trees. Same with CSMs?
Preach on Cabinboy. We're all listening... With empty beer cans.

Re: Trump... 2016/07/27 09:43:57 (permalink)
Yea, I've no idea why so many people hurl the "racist" label at the GOP.  I guess we should just "grow up".  That shining beacon of truth & Good White Guys, Bill O'Reilly is scum of the earth.

Bill O'Reilly's jaw-dropping response to Michelle Obama: "Slaves were well-fed"

Too bad they were still slaves.

A day after Michelle Obama proved progress is possible by speaking about her historical legacy as the first black first lady "living in a house built by slaves," Bill O’Reilly decided to give a positive spin on slavery itself.

"Slaves that worked there were well-fed and had decent lodgings provided by the government, which stopped hiring slave labor in 1802," O’Reilly said on the latest edition of the The O’Reilly Factor Tuesday night. "However, the feds did not forbid subcontractors from using slave labor. So Michelle Obama is essentially correct in citing slaves as builders of the White House, but there were others working as well."

O’Reilly is right that slaves weren’t the only ones who built the White House. Technically, enslaved black people were joined by free black people and local white laborers. But black people, many of them slaves, did the bulk of the heavy lifting and digging.

This reluctance to view slavery, or the tokens we carry through history that were created as a benefit of slavery, as horrific or difficult has been a long journey for most Americans. Only recently are popular representations of slavery appropriately brutal and representative of the reality of the practice.

It’s not surprising that O’Reilly finds comfort in portraying the nation he loves in a way that depicts slaves as having "decent lodgings." The fact that slave owners were paid for their slaves’ labor while the slaves' names were lost to history says everything about how the institution of slavery — and the price African Americans have had to pay — is remembered by far too many Americans today.

Only the best & brightest, right comrade?

Trump says he ‘never met Putin’ — despite bragging about meeting him just last year

The Democrats this week have been hammering Donald Trump over his past praise of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his campaign manager Paul Manafort’s connections to the Kremlin.

Now that security experts say it’s likely that Russian intelligence agencies were behind the hack of the Democratic National Committee, Democrats have once again called on Trump to release his tax returns to prove that he doesn’t have ties to Russia.

In an interview with Florida news station CBS4 Miami, Trump denied he had any business dealings with Russia and even went so far as to say that he’d never met Putin.

“I have nothing to do with Russia, nothing to do, I never met Putin, I have nothing to do with Russia whatsoever,” he told the station.

This is interesting because during a debate last year, Trump explicitly said that he’d met Putin while the two of them were set to appear on 60 Minutes.

“I got to know him very well because we were both on 60 Minutes, we were stablemates,” said Trump at the time.

Additionally, The Hill notes that Donald Trump Jr. told a 2008 real estate conference that “Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets.”

Trump could help clear a lot of this up by releasing his last ten years’ worth of tax returns, but he keeps refusing to do so because he’s purportedly being audited.

Trump apologized and admitted his mistakes and I certainly haven't herd any bad mouthing by his previous wives but I suppose I don't have a point here, after all, Bill Clinton didn't have sex with that woman.  So I guess his bringing total embarrassment to his country while holding the highest position in America really doesn't matter.  It's not "JUST" about what Clinton did 20 years ago, Capisce?

Tell me "D" how is it you say you've no idea why people fixate on stuff that doesn't involve them from 20 years ago and yet you refer to Trumps past?

Re: Trump... 2016/07/27 11:45:12 (permalink)
Hope yinz are able to see the LIVE interview Trump is doing with the press.  Yes Porktown it is being broadcast on CNN as well as Fox and I'm sure both networks have people busy cutting snippets for their rebuttals to be broadcast later.  So for those not fortunate to hear, first hand, Trumps answers being given to ORIGINAL questions, tune in later to see what the media wants you to believe.

Can you believe; Trump says he hopes Putin likes him.  Geeez wouldn't that be a shame, Trump wanting to set up good relations with Russia?

If you can't watch live, your missing the real fun, not being able to see reporters trying to interrupt and trip up Trump while he answers questions posed by others.  Of course the viewing audience hears very little, if any, of the original question.  Katie Couric is trying her best and, speaking of Katie, I wonder how she feels about Verizon buying Yahoo?

For the record, I'm switching back and forth between Fox and CNN ( that OK, Porktown?), just for the chyts and giggles, to see what is scrolling across the bottom of my TV screen regarding what Trump said.  I do that when others are speaking at press conferences also.

Okay my bad, I did say "rant" with a "s" but as usual, I am right....... yes?

I'm not attempting to make you mad (again) but merely trying to "set an example" as to how easy it is to, miss judge a person's comment or, find reason to take a comment out of context.  Referring to your, "That shining beacon of truth & Good White Guys" could it not be; misconstrued as having racial overtones?

Also, your accusations (that's how I see it) of me being a follower of Bill O'Reilly is based on information you gleaned from my comments of watching Fox News.

I have no need to defend my choice of news networks but FYI, I do watch both Fox and CNN in order to see live broadcast and not the bobble-heads.

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me! I just love how some people can't  discuss anything without name calling. But don't panic maturity will sneak up on you and you'll  finally be able to sit at the adult table. Don't forget to wash behind your ears!

If you could discuss FACTS then maybe your FEELINGS would be considered. jus say'IN

BUT since FACTS are "yucky" to the "low hangin fruit/ angry whiteman/ TRUTHless adult table, I dunno what to tell ya.
BTW the "sticks n stones" comment further shows, as I stated, who the CHILD in the room is.. As Always IMHO jus say'IN duud.

Did you get this off the internet? If so, I doubt it's true.

Read your rants about O'Reilly,

It was only one "rant" not the plural "rants", but you should be mad at Bill O'Reilly, not me.  He's the one who showed his true racist pig colors, regarding the slaves who built the white house, while attempting to sound smart.  He's only saying what his audience wants to hear, yes?

You could use some help with reading comprehension.  I made no mention of you or anyone else with my O'Reilly post, it just happened that you had been the last one to post in the thread before I made it.  There were no accusations towards you what so ever.  However, you do seem awfully sensitive regarding the topic, so I guess, if the jack boot fits wear it, comrade.

THIS confusion between "feelings" and "facts" he talks about in this video is very frequently illustrated here by our favorite Trumpy posters.

You know none of the "adult table" watched that. As soon as they saw John Oliver it got the "X".

"We aint gatta listen'n to no Englush sissy boy librul. Dis 'Merica!"

No doubt about it.  It's too bad some people have such a hard time with facts hurting their predisposed feelings.  RW TV & Radio have been feeding them anti-intellectualism for so long they now think that being void of fact is smart.
