Tully

Any body fish the Tully lately? I hope to head out there soon, maybe in a couple of weeks.

Inuk, i am with you.  I was close to going last week.  We had a meeting up at Cabelas and Heater and I were going to try it.  It was still pretty cold though - even though the river looked awesome when we drove over it.

If uncle Kevin caught some fish on the EB I say we go right now!!!  :)  Just kidding - I am up for whatever - I'll just need a day's notice to have tyhe old lady work from home and alleviate me from my Mr. Mom duties...;)

Sunday anytime might work for me.  I was going to try to hit Cabelas at 8am when they open and then maybe get on the water after the sun comes up by like 10 or 11?  We'll have to watch USGS with all of this precip we are getting right now.

I said I was just kidding brother - you proved yourself to me under tough conditions in Erie last time!  And it was even your first time up there!  Better than I can say for Tippy...:)

Tully is high though - it will be a while.  They must have decided that they don't need to save any of the cold water for the summertime low flow conditions...::(

Good luck when you guys go this weekend.  Godspeed against the crowds.  I'll bet I see less people in Erie...:)

Looks like the commandos has finally dwindled to only 2 members - at least that will make for less competition this weekend and at the LJR in april...

I have been lurking in the shadows!!!!!

I  just checked the USGS for the Tully and it is still running high.  Like TB says they must not be holding any of the water back for the summer.

TB good luck on the tribs this weekend.  If the "Outlaws" weren't in town Tippy and I would be up there with you.

Will post a report and hopefully some big pics from the DH's after we tear them up this weekend.

I plan on feeding Tippy a bunch of Jerky and Sausage so that he ****s himself and chases the jerkers off the stream!  That should keep the crowds down.

    Tight lines boys.

TB-  hit the DHALO today, same as you in pics.  You were'nt kidding about the size of the fish. Caught one about 12", the rest were at least 18".
Lots of fun, even though I was a little rusty, lost a few.

Tippy-Toe and I hit the DHA on Saturday afternoon for a few hours and despite our hangovers stung a bunch of nice fish.  Big fish of the day could compare with a nice steely!  Forgot our camera but was able to take a pic with my phone.  Now I just have to figure out how to get it off my phone and into a format that i can post/email.

Hopefully (and this is wishful thinking) not too many people hear about the pigs that they stocked and we can keep some of this action going for a while.

I think I am going to hit it again on Tuesday or Wens night afterwork and then we go out of town until Sunday night.

TB...Glad to hear you rocked the tribs!  Sounds like you guys had a good trip.

yeah, it was a good trip.  Your right about the DH hogs - they are a lot of fun, hopefully it doesn't spoil us.  And hopefully Scud doesn't expand his guide service...:)

just kidding, I may be at the DHALO Tuesday(tomorrow) after work also, maybe I'll see you there!

I made it down to the DH on the tully yesterday for the first time this year. I managed to land 1. Had two others on and one broke me off. Not much size to the one i landed though... I am going to try to make it down there almost all this week. If you see me say hello.. I will be the one that looks like they have no idea what they are doing...

The bite was on last night boys...hit the DHA boulders at about 5:30 and was worn out by 6:30.  Hog heaven!  I worked upstream into the shallows above the boulders for about 45 mins and managed to pull out a measly 15 incher.  We are getting spoiled.  Have a great Easter everyone...I am thinking about taking off on Monday if anyone wants to head out let me know.
