First Fork Sinnemahoning Hatches

Weekend of 4/26/14 saw the April Grays hatch every afternoon and evening.  This puts the emergence about 10 days later than recent years. Lot's of tan caddis in the morning a well as Stoneflies below the dam.  I missed the reported Quill Gordon dry frenzy Friday evening.  Saw lot's of Hendricksons, Blue Quills and Quill Gordons, not many risers Sat-Sun.  The mountains looked like opening weekend should, no buds on trees and only grass growing was streamside or on islands.
