I cracked open a Bell’s Light Hearted after finishing up a post hole. Pretty good for 3.7%.

Bell’s stuff is consistently good. I picked up a six pack of their Brown Ale yesterday. Anderson Valley’s beers are worth a try if you ever see any of their stuff around.

Imports like Pilsner Urquell and Peroni are great warm weather beers too. They don’t beat you over the head with hops and flavor like American craft beer, but they still have more taste than stuff like Budweiser.

Dogfish Head IPA's are all delicious. My favorite is the Indian Brown Ale. Cross between a nut brown and an IPA.

For those, like my wife, who love beer but can’t tolerate gluten, a shout out to Aurochs. Rt. 65 in Emsworth and sold at Giant Eagles and other locations around Pittsburgh. They make a porter, blonde ale and IPA as well as some others, including a nitro, that are available at their pub. Their products are much superior to any mass produced gluten-free beer that we’ve tried.

I'll have to look for that.  Rye IPA's and darker malted hoppy beers are some of my favorites.

I'm a brown ale/malty guy and not a fan of IPA's but I will need to give that a try and report back.  Thanks...

I recently tried Sierra Nevada Wanderland Nectarine Ale. I would give it a 8/10 with a very summery fruit taste to it.

Is it bad that it sounds good at 8AM?

If you're ever in Buffalo go to Gene McCarthy's (Old First Ward Brewing) and get an imperial hefeweizen, it's on a tap in the back.  Also, do yourself a favor and pair that with a dozen of their wings (McCarthy style...extra crispy/barbecue/tossed with blue cheese crumbles) OMG!

Not really....several times, watering the garden as the sun is rising in July, sweating bullets, thinking, darn, sure would be refreshing to crack a leinenkugel summer shandy right about now....

^ Yep.
If it's AM, I usually wait till the back 9 anyways or I hit my first 7 on a Par 3. Then all bets are off.

I'm not into the early drinking.  I will crack some open early on vacation, but usually early afternoon.  If I drink more than one, pretty much anything productive for the day is shot.  If I only drink one, within 2-3 hours, I am ready for a nap...
