anyone use other way's to fish

Since getting the centerpin disease,my flyrod's have been collecting dust. One always had a permanent home in my truck,it has been replaced with the pin.I still use fly's,but now on the pin. Has anyone else retired there other way's of fishing?

for a while.  Once you see the effectiveness of the pin you will want to use it all of the time.  The more you use it though the more you realize where/when it is the best solution and where/when it isn't.  Yes, you can fish shallow riffles with a pin but you have to work at it.  With a fly rod you don't.  For a small stream with overhanging branches a spinning rod is often best.

For me, I sold my pins.  For steelhead they were great and for big water trout they were fun too.  I don't have either of those options anymore so I stick to the fly rod and spinning gear.

    thanks

Boy that's a hard one. I love to pin and pin only in Erie for steelhead. Back home i fly fish for stockies but about every other outting i take the pin 2 switch it up a litte. Nothing like pinning though...........it's hard to put the pin down!
