FEB. 22 CONNEAUT LAKE TOURNAMENT

2014 Conneaut Lake's 2nd Annual Ice Fishing Tourney

Date: February 22, 2014

Start Time: 7:00 AM
End Time: 5:00 PM
Cash Prizes: Awarded at 5:30 PM

Registration Fee: 
$15 for the ticket, plus optional additional $5 for 50/50 

Optional 50/50 Drawing: 
You may buy a single 50/50 ticket for $5. You will include your name and phone number on the ticket. Drawing to be held at 5 pm at Fireman's Beach. Winner need not be present. 

Fishing: 
Absolutely no fishing prior to 7 am. Jerry will be riding around checking. Cash Prizes awarded for largest, legal fish in various categories Musky, Walleye, Northern Pike, Bass, Crappie & Perch. All fish must be alive for weigh-ins. 

Bait: 
Get your bait Friday between 8 am and 9 pm or as of 5 am Saturday morning.

Protocol: 
If you are fishing for large game fish prizes, put your fish on a stringer (sold at the bait shop) and call Jerry's cell 814-882-8369 or use a walkie-talkie so he can drive over and check out / measure your fish. Tie Breaker will be heaviest fish. 

Walkie-talkie:
Channel tbd; ask at the bait shop on Friday or Saturday.

    Results: The big musky has landed on ice with more than 300 fish caught. 150 anglers entered tourney.  Ice conditions were perfect with more than 12 inches of ice. Weather was sunny with high of 40, and ice cleats being a must. Here are your winners:
     
    $500 Musky 46 1/2 inches 25 1/2 pounds Steve Elmen from Guys Mills, PA

    $300 Northern Pike 33 1/4 inches Mike Kozalla from Saegertown, PA 

    $100 Crappie 11 3/4 inches Kevin Hall from Meadville, PA

    $100 Perch 12 inches Nick Bosko from Meadville, PA


    50/50 Winner $275 Carl Hall from Conneautville, PA.
