Zonker Strips

Hello,
I was looking through my fly tying materials and found zonker strips in different colors. I think my son wanted them. I'm not sure what to tie with them. Is there any easy flies to tie with zonker strips?

Thank you,

Recman, not a tyer, get all my steelhead flies off ebay. went and looked for you, searched: zonker steelhead flies, zonker flies, and zonkers in the outdoor section.  the pics should give you some ideas of what you can do with the strips.

Tie an inch or two tail in on the rear of the hook with the zonker strip, advance thread to eye of the hook, wrap zonker strip around the hook toward the front of the hook, tie off behind the eye, whip finish. You have a streamer in about 30 seconds.

The Lord has blessed us all today... It's just that he has been particularly good to me.

the narrow crosscut white zonkers are great for the white death.  i have cut the wider ones lengthwise to accommodate when necessary.  it is an easy fly to tie.  michaels has the silver tubing for 1.99 for ~10'.

perhaps a blue, red, green, etc death would produce as well.

Nice fly, that white death, but it has been around for at least 30 years, although most people just call it a Zonker!
