Not being a boat owner any changes to the launch has not impact in my life, but looking at the big picture, I can see that an improved launch and some type of harbor or marina on Elk would be of value to the fishing public.  I would also anticipate it would take some pressure off of Walnut creek access. 

I know what to do . Lets toll I90 for funding to fund our perch/walleye mass transit system. DCNR could build a casino boat to justify use of the funds to pay for the I-90 toll booths. A 10% alcohol tax in Erie County ....
 
or we could just have the politicians trade thier retirement package for ours & start using social security that should be enough monies to cover it

i'm wondering what affect this may have on shore fishermen. the access is now a large area the provides fishing on both sides of the creek clear down to the lake.... will the development of a large marina with many docks limit the fishing area for creek anglers? i am a boat and shore fisherman so it really doesn't matter to me, but it may affect anglers that don't own a boat. and if it does indeed limit land for creek anglers to fish wouldn't this just make for more crowded fishing upstream on elk? just a few thoughts.....

There are not ANY plans as of yet, and would not expect to see anything more than an improved LOWER launch, and safe harbor. I don't think a full marina is in the cards.
