Fly Floatant?

Anyone of you guys use it?  I fish a lot of drys on different creeks in PA, I think Frogs Fanny is great stuff, never really experimented with other brands.

Is it a powder??

I use silicon spritz from loon for dry flies(except CDC) to start. then during use as they get wet I'll use a powder dessicator to dry them back out.

Chapstick, or Silicone spray from an automotive store.  I told you;   I'M CHEAP!  Vaseline works well too and you can coat your leader to make it float higher.  Or you can carry an old candle and run the line through it.  Just don't light the candle!   I had to throw that warning in.  You know all these liability laws.
 

Anyone heard of using water repellent for wood decks? As I understand you dip the fly in and shake the excess off then let it dry. Suppose to float for hours.
