Sounds like everyone on here is a trophy hunter....They gotttttttttttta be big bucks baby!! They're everywhere!  That's what antler restrictions are doing best.  Turning all hunters into trophy hunters and making everyone fight over who's buck is bigger. Can't we just go and enjoy the outdoors anymore?  Seems like everyone has their own hunting show these days. I'd be happy as hell to shoot a little 4 point.  Yeah the big ones are out there an i might get lucky but you cant eat those horns!  

My freezers full, just sayin.

I'll admit I'm definitely not a trophy hunter.  Kinda somewhere in between.  I try to shoot a caliber of deer I believe is in the upper half of size.  Whether it is a doe or buck, I have a personal set limit.  I won't shoot a small doe and I try for a 2.5 yr old buck.  I'd like to have two deer for the freezer every year, so can't be too picky.  Fortunately the mid-sized bucks eluded me this year and I had to settle for a P+Y'er.  Yes, the sun does shine on a dog's arse once in a while.  I'll post pics and story in a separate thread.

Guess I have a lot of stories this year not too much success  While here's another picture I have, found this one laying along side the road near where my stands are. Stopped to get the picture, it must have been there for awhile....probably overnight this was about noon today. Then I went out tonight saw 2 bucks ...one spike, the other one the shooter that I've been looking for, seems like forever.
  I rattled the spike in , he came in running, guess he thinks he's a bad ****..... then had a nice doe in the field but she was happy where she was.  At 4:55 here comes the shooter probably 100 yards out, I get ready he stops looks down my way but just isn't coming to me, I grunted ,he turns and walks behind some tree tops  ( they have been timbering ) anyhow running out of light I hear  something, turn around and here's this little doe **** near under me ,looking up toward where the shooter is ...or was. Waited until total darkness thinking maybe he would come in for the young doe...But didn't happen ...maybe tomorrow but hey it was one exciting night and that all that matters to this old fart anymore.....lol
