I'm with ya Eman, Had a doe bleating and coming in yesterday evening on my rutting buck impersonation with the decoy out. She was ready. My buddy seen 8 doe come thru with 1 bleating and only buck to show up was a spike and he winded my buddy and left in the opposite direction as the doe.
My question is, too many doe going into estrous and not enuff bachelors to take care of them?

had a nice eight point run a doe by at 230 this afternoon, could have jumped on his back off the back deck(fairmont, wv).  they be out there boys, keep your nose to the grindstone!

Had a six point in the front yard last night chasing 2 small does..He left the 2 large does alone???? I need to mention that what I thought was going to be the best 2 days of hunting, this past Mon & Tues., it turned out to be my worst.... two days afield...I saw two deer....
Took a ride at lunch time saw a 6 and a 4 point.......
MY archery season is now over.......

I've been seeing lots of deer on my way home from work in the evenings including some small bucks, but nothing to get excited about.  Friends of mine have been seeing pretty good activity this week, but no big bucks yet.
 
I might be heading to Ohio next weekend to do some bow hunting.  I never really had the chance to spend much time in the woods during late November due to PA's archery structure, so I'm not entirely sure of what to expect, but I guess there is only one way to find out. 

got blanked tonight.  did see two gobblers but they wouldn't get close enough.

Strange year here been slow over all.
Saw 2 legal bucks chasin last week no shot opportunity.
No other legal bucks seen,had 5 different scrubs herd does around me.
Had some noise in the neighborhood(new neighbors/gas well crew)but was worst season I have had here.
I hunted alot maybe too much but never bothered the deer before.
It seemed to me that the deer were acting like they usually do last week of Oct for the last 3 weeks.
All that said I enjoyed it and cameras tell me that I missed afew opportunities so whatever it is what it is...me still with a buck tag and joining the Orange Army!

In the morning, big buck banged a doe 50 yards away then ran straight to my tree up to 10yards and I didn't shoot because it was facing directly toward me the whole time.. Kinda kicking myself big time..
 
In the evening... Had another nice buck coming right to me and at 20yards he just stops turns around and walks back into the thicket. Very tough year for me. Ed

Looks like in this part of SW PA, the first week of November was the week this year. We saw very little movement the second week. Went spotting last night and seen a ton of does with not a buck around any of them. Saw quite a few bucks and they were all by themselves eatin. 
 
Might be a interesting first week of rifle this year. I expect fair to good rutting behavior around here. Season will be begin exactly 28 days after I saw most of the activity in my areas.
