Looking for Lodging/information near Oak Orchard

Not familiar with that area and really having difficulty figuring out "Oak Orchard, Olcott, and Point Breeze etc.". Heard about a fishing tourny being held by an archery club along the Oak Orchard River but am totally confused as to where it actually is. Could someone be so kind as to give me the name of the club, where it is located and are there any reasonable lodging accommodations near there. Any lead would be appreciated.

Look up a tackle shop called Orleans Outdoor. Their number is 585-682-4546. I am sure they know something about it! Where you from Wally. I will be heading to the Oak this weekend

Is there a ban on felt soled boots in NY, in particular 18 mile and Oak Orchard. Saw several comments where it was recommended to use rubber soles but did not clearly state they were banned.

I am not aware of a ban, but you are definitely better off in all NY waters along LO with cleats of some  kind, especially as snow starts to enter the picture.

We stay at Captains Cove which is on Oak Orchard.  Clean and reasonable.
585-682-3316.  I would suggest reservations this time of the year.
I don't think you are alowed to use lead in NY.
