If i wanted to spend under $300 id go under $100 and buy a Cabelas traditional... actually, I think im going to buy another one of these. I own the 8wt and want a 4. I have a 4wt Orvis superfine and the slow action of that sold me on the 8wt of the same action. I really like it for the price and seriously consider buying a 4 for others to use.

Ive fished a lot of rods and for the money, i would buy another one of these in a heartbeat.

$70 for a 4wt.... of course you must really like slow action rods!

I've heard good things about the traditional series and almost got a 3 wt. until I found a 2 wt superfine on ebay. got it for $170!  I kinda wanted a rod with a medium-fast to fast action.  Thanx for the input though

A Sage Launch would be a great general purpose mod/fast 9' 4wt. for around 200.  A friend of mine has the 9' 5wt version.  I have the 9' 4wt Sage LE which was replaced by the Launch.  The actions are very similar, which is a good thing to me.  My 4wt is light enough to fish any dry yet im not scared to throw bigger streamers or indicator fish with alot of weight.

I really like the Temple Fork Outfitters Professional Series fly rods.  They have a lifetime warranty and cost only $149.95.  The 4 weights come in 8', 8 1/2' and 9' lengths.  They are 4 piece rods.

Sage Launch or Fli would be the best choice.
