Rainbow - 27" (measured) Laurel Hill Creek - Black Ant Dry, barbless hook.

I feel like I'll never come close to equalling that one, I should probably just quit now.

27 inch brown- walnut creek(chutes)-baby blue/red blood dot (fish was released)
10 inch palomino-kids trout pond at erie outdoorshow-giant hook that they give you, I brought a can of grubs with me and tipped the hook with 4 grubs.  LOL, its not a fly rod but I figured I'd throw it in.

Caught on a undisclosed stream in Indiana County.  Don't know exact dimensions and don't care but it was past the 20 inch mark on my rod and hefty.  Definetly the most memorable fight and the most powerful wild trout that I have ever brought to net.

Hmm, not much to write home about for me in this section, but here goes anyway...

Brookie 18 inches, Beaver Creek picked him up on a clouser I think, it's been a few years on that one.

Lost a big rainbow that day too, looked like a steelhead when he flashed...  oh well.

Steelhead 31 inches, Crooked creek, white bugger.

other than that, the've all been stockies on the fly, I might get a 15 or 16 here and there, but nothing noteworthy.

I did have a big brown follow a bugger a few times fishing the public section of Yellow Creek over a decade ago, never got him to hit though.  It was my first feeble attempt to use a fly rod and I had a monster brown, easily over 20, come out from behind a rock and follow my bugger twice.  I can still see him clear as day...

brown_trout, i was just wondering what streams you got the trout at if it's not to secret. i like to see the many different streams all the PA. guys fish that catch the big ones. it's just cool to see some of the smaller streams that guys take the trout from and who fishes different areas. ~dt

just started fly fishing a month ago,  14'' brown trout caught on black moshannon creek, on a wooly bugger i tied myself
30' red oak tree on a back cast, does this count?

all caught were released, except the oak, he broke me off , tried to horse him in.

the early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

nut, i've fished the oil colored black moshannon and caught more than the red oaks on back casts. what a unique creek.
i felt i was fishing in oil and when the sun is shining down on it you swear there's gold in it!!

B.T. i fished young women last year before heading up to kettle. did well on dries. ~dt

If i was to comment on Loomis secret spot in Indiana county i would more than likely have to say it was a privately owned stocked creek that flows into yellow creek. Renosky Be my guess not calling you out or anything but i have not known of any wild browns........I would like to see that.                                                     Centerpin_drift               gET THE DRIFT!

    anadromus

Yes he has been taken numerous times after by me as well, its a wierd stream to fish I have certainly landed bigger more stretched out ones but this ones just a ham.  he fought so hard, im sure u have been there for the dog food hatch too!  Say goodbye to this spot though they took the tree out and it got filled in and that wonderful grouping of brownies dissapated. this one was actually taken on an egg right before dark.

    Centerpin Drift

Sound the buzzer cuz your about 10 miles off location.  I dont pay for fish, but I will use a pass if you got one....  the stream we are talking about def has natrual rep and wild fish in it.  take a walk around.

Loomis that's funny no need for a pass my good friend Steve Renosky is the one that owns it him and his father. And i am able to fish anytime I'd like for FREE! 10 miles interesting the buzzer just alarmed and i have a great idea where your Wiley brown was hooked! Maybe will see each other fishing it this year. that creek has a great limestone bottom..........
