Temple Creek?

I believe this is the name of the water flowing through Albion borough park.
Anyone have any knowledge of this creek?
I know it flows in to Conneaut Creek, is it stocked with trout?
What are the regs? I see people fishing it, what are they catching?

Steelhead do run Temple Creek.  I'd go check it out.  You might be pleasantly surprised.

Can this thread get deleted please?   Like ASAP?  Isn't this a violation of the spot burn policy enacted here?

    Really what a burn...........
I live very close and do not fish this water, but this is a spot burn for sure.
In this information age there are no reasons to make such a post do a few websearches on your own.Or maybe just walk up to one of the humans fishing the creek and have a conversation...................

wow thanks for the help sportsmen...
and I have tried talking to a few different anglers, and done some searching,
humans I talked to were no help, unfriendly, and gave conflicting info

musta been so irritated because they think they are the elite few who know of it?

Obviously it must be worth fishing based on these posts
Open discussion of a body of water, asking for the most basic general info is not spot burning.  It is what this site and these forums are INTENDED for, not the snippy remarks and insults too very common on here.

If you didn't want to draw attention to this creek, no response would have been much smarter than griping about my post for being such a "spot burn"
Or better yet a friendly PM, thanks again

FYI - from the fishusa forum agreement:

    * Mentioning specific fishing locations on private property which may cause increases in angler traffic (a/k/a "spot burning") is prohibited.

Just moved from Lake City to Albion if you must know and I swear I have not seen one fish caught or on a stringer or in the water.
One guy said they stocked it with trout, seemed like skinny water for stocking, so I looked it up.
Not an approved trout water and not on stocking list. Governed by Commonwealth waters not tributary so if there were steelhead on a stringer wouldn't it be illegal right now?

God forbid I should look to fisherie for some clarification on this.
Had no idea it was a can of worms... sabotage is not my style

Go to the park tommorrow and count the guys driving through and or fishing and you will see why everyone got on your case.
This is the internet and ALOT of people have read this and will be more likely to check it out.
I was fishing one of the mile creeks a few years back went several times hardly anyone around someone made a post about it on here and it was crowded the next month.
I have been on several different sites for steelheading great lake tribs and it is ALWAYS an isssue when you name and or describe  a particular spot.
Some information must be earned by experience or having someone show you in person its better that way most tribs are pressured enough.
Plenty of information is shared on this site ,with a side of sarcasem of course.
Good luck with the fishing, we are neighbors now maybe I'll bump into you.

Albion sportsman club stocks the stream the night before the opening day and a coule of times throughout the season.  Give them your support if possible, they do good work.  While I agree lots of people will read this, they will fall into one of two categories.  Either (A) they already know Temple creek exists, that it is stocked and they decide to fish it or not , or (B) they couldn't find it on a map if held at gun point and, if by chance they stumbled upon it by accident they would take one look at it an pass it by; blue ribbon trout fishing it isn't.  As for steelhead, a few manage to get up it but there is a sizable dam on it which prevents them from getting to far from Conneaut Creek.

It was the "Albion Park" part that was the burn bet they can find that.
Its all good I agree-no loss in my book but would't want this knd of post for some of the other PA spots just chose you words when posting on the internet,I include myself I in this lecture.
It nice to help each other out but somethings are better left unsaid.

    Hello,
I recently purchased property outside Albion PA. Temple Creek cuts through the property. Can anyone offer suggestions regarding State fish stocking practices in the area. Is this something a property owner can "buy into".

Also I have been trying to research the old fish ladder that went into dis repair sometime back. From what I can uncover Temple Creek ends and Conneaut Creek starts at a small dam inside Albion's city limits. Any ideas on if there are programs offered by the state to rebuild the ladder?

Even though I am a property owner, since I am not a "resident" it seems information is difficult to come by. Not sure why. I have been impressed with the state of PA's concerns for maintaining areas for sportsman (hunting and fishing).

    Thanks!

Temple enters Conneaut Creek west of the city limits there is a drop off the end of an old culvert where it flows into Conneaut Creek, The old fish ladder was at the Bessemer Dam located further East upstream . I think it would close the area below the old dam to fishing because it would be within 100 feet of the ladder ,and that is prohibited
