Hows the ice there?? Was pretty open on sunday when I swung by, and I was told there was alot of snow up that way.

There is a lot of snow but i figure since it was locked up completely on Monday morning, it should be good for the weekend. im going to check it out tonight.

Just checked Eaton and Findley. To say the least....DON'T GO. I talked to the man at the Happy Hooker in Lakewood and he said don't even think about it. Looks like im fishing Misery tomorrow.

Trying to get more info on pyma but everybody must have lock jaw or just don't wanna check it..... If worse comes to worse u suppose it'll be a trip to check it and hope it's good! I think misery will be a zoo on Saturday.

A few guys close to shore on Pymy yesterday on the south end. Guys that checked the north end yesterday said it was borderline 2-3", but obviously good, hard black ice. Someone reportedly got wet feet by breaking through checking both Tuttle and Manning yesterday. With sub-zero temps last night and in the teens today...I would think we will add at least another inch or two by tomorrow.

Been reading different ice depth from different posts on Pymie. Any where from 2 1/2-5 inches. Be careful. Shenango has 4 inches at Golden Run of black ice.

I think there'll be guys on pymy this wknd.. and chances are good you'll find fishable ice if you go. Just have to take all safety precautions. I got a buddy going tomorrow and I will know more by then from a credible source. Until then I think I will fish Moraine on Sat.

I was there last Saturday. Ice was a little thin for my liking. I'd be shocked if there wasn't 5+ now. Guys seemed to be doing well over by the channel. Stay safe, and good luck.

heard all bad reports from Pymy. some guys were up there earlier and said there was 5 inches of ice but as they went out further it was more like 3. They stopped and were unable to get out as far as they would have liked at Snodgrass. They were skunked and actually met up with me at Moraine later in the day. Did OK on Arthur, but had to work hard for those crappies today. Ended up with some nice slabs.

I think a few inches might melt off but it doesnt look like a lot of snow will be falling anytime soon, which should make for some great ice building.
