I bought an Okuma Sheffield this past summer. I am quite certain it was made in China, but that is the only complaint I have. I feel you get a lot of reel for the money ($180). I have caught a lot of fish on it and it is holding up well.

I just got my first centerpin setup for xmas and i really love it. Its a raven sst and an 11 foot 6 cortland endurance rod. i took it out the day after xmas and beat up some stocked trout with it and finally got to catch my first few steelhead on it this past monday.

I jut picked my first pin up about 3 weeks ago, and have used it 4 times so far on the tribs. So far I really enjoy it, and look forward to getting better at the casting etc. I have been cinsidering degreasing it and swapping out for some oil after speaking with a few others about it. Anyways, I picked up a Raven SST3 lined with some dacron20# backing and Siglon FF.

PS: Sorry for missing your call centerpin-drift the other day.

    snapped some quickies...enjoy!

Tommy, put a little 3m electrical tape around the slide rings, they loosen when you least expect it,kinda hard pulling your spool out of deep water as it's freespooling tons of line out!!.Ray
