I bought an Okuma Sheffield this past summer. I am quite certain it was made in China, but that is the only complaint I have. I feel you get a lot of reel for the money ($180). I have caught a lot of fish on it and it is holding up well.

I just got my first centerpin setup for xmas and i really love it. Its a raven sst and an 11 foot 6 cortland endurance rod. i took it out the day after xmas and beat up some stocked trout with it and finally got to catch my first few steelhead on it this past monday.

I jut picked my first pin up about 3 weeks ago, and have used it 4 times so far on the tribs. So far I really enjoy it, and look forward to getting better at the casting etc. I have been cinsidering degreasing it and swapping out for some oil after speaking with a few others about it. Anyways, I picked up a Raven SST3 lined with some dacron20# backing and Siglon FF. PS: Sorry for missing your call centerpin-drift the other day. snapped some quickies...enjoy!

Tommy, put a little 3m electrical tape around the slide rings, they loosen when you least expect it,kinda hard pulling your spool out of deep water as it's freespooling tons of line out! !.Ray
