ch ch ch changes

took my first trip down into the gorge today.
water was higher than i expected and quite off color.
only saw a few fish hooked.
none by me.
all by the people fishing eggs under bobbers.
which brings me to the changes i mentioned.
i saw zero outright rippers.
a few true bottom bouncers.
myself and 2 other guys fly fishing.
and maybe 25 or 30 float guys.
maybe all the slashers and bashers were up in the bathtub where i couldn't see.
visability sucked making swinging flies less than effective but the change in fishing ethic was very enjoyable.

friends i made on the way out

i figured you were trapped in the cave hiding from the morning rain.
there wasn't even very many being tenderized on the rocks on the way out of  the bathtub .
either the morning crew had already dragged their limits out when i arrived or they were working on a second before leaving.

I was at Sandy yesterday, and there was a spey fisher downstream, and everyone else was fishing eggs.   We took a canoe down into the estuary, and streamer fished with no takers.  Of course, there were a lot of midstream walkers up above 19, and almost no water, buit it was a lot more relaxed than it used to be, also.
