How big do the trouts get in N. Carolina??? Must be one of the Blue Ridge Mountain streams. I drove through there many a time going to the beach,,,,beautiful country.A friend of mine lives in Rocky Mount, N.C. and took me to strip pits for bass. That was fun.

      Kevin,

the first step in it is to take a long nap before you go

Heck if I ever caught the state record flathead up there I'd let it go.
No way I'd wanna drag that thing all the way back to the van.

If my mother don't sell the house on the Alleg. in Oakmont by spring I'll stay there on some of my days off.

the trout are the same size as pa trout. we fished in the mountains north of ashville N.C. and also the great smokey mountains. they have more native rainbows and native browns. the scenery is amazng. less fishermen and since there aren't as many roads through their forests most of the wild streams are hike ins and less conjested. just somewhere different!!

MY dream is to travel the Alaskan highway with no timetable and be able to spend as much time as I want, at any little stream, I want catching all the trout I want.  And not having to carry my .44 because of bears.   I know it won't happen because I have to have somebody with me in case my back goes out.  But then it is a wish.

After thinking about this I have to ammend my wish.  I just wish I could get out and be able to walk the creeks without needing to sit down every 15 minutes and without pain.

Float the juniata at night throwing large popper flies or jitterbugs(This is the year of the 17 year cicada)

Spend as much time as possible on Spring and Bald Eagle.

Catch a carp on the fly at Sayers.

Pymatuning in march for eyes, Shenango in april and may for crappie, erie in may for smallies, june and july for eyes and perch.  Pigeon in canada for muskies in august.  Brookies and rainbows on the Gunnison River Colorado in nov and most important

A weekend float trip on the allegheny with my son this summer.  He is 5.  I would trade all the others for this one.
