Changing of the Seasons

This week turned out to be my changeover week for fly tying, where I've switched from tying warmwater flies for bass, to starting to churn out hordes of steelhead flies.  For me, this transition almost always happens in August, but it's usually close to the end of the month.

Anyone else make the switch?

This year's tying will be a bit more one-dimensional than last year, as I went the whole season and only lost about a dozen eggs total, so I'm probably not even going to tie very many at all.  On the other hand, I started out last September with 4 dozen buggers, and had to replenish a few sizes & colors so I had some for my last trip.  Plan to not run out this season.

Good for you Cold. Just as soon as I get some projects of my own done at the bench - guess I'll be switching too.

Yep, tied 78 egg patterns in last 3 nights
