Salmon Strikes! - Downrigger Footage

Hi everyone,

The following is a sample of downrigger footage we have taken during this salmon season on Lake Ontario. Most of the footage was shot down 80 to 110 feet which challenges the smaller sensor camera but we're happy with some of the results.

Hope you enjoy!

That's pretty neat to see. A lot different than a take from a steelhead in a low clear stream. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comment "bowhuntnsteve". We only had the lures about 18 inches behind the ball in order to get any clairity on the cameras as we were fishing 80 to 100 feet down.

That was too cool. I'd give about anything to catch a big king. With 4 kids (6,5,4,3yo) it's hard to come up with the money. I'm gonna try to make it up to fish the streams this year. I just hope that I have the money. Please post more video. I love this stuff.

what speed do you troll at? I thought there would be some wash from the ball cutting thru the water but guess not. Wow the water is very clear.
