Koi Carp Fishing???

Theres alot of Koi in a local pond and they stay close to the shore( 10 ft out?) Cant get them to bite on corn or even homemade dough balls and boilies. Any suggestions for bait? I heard using grass but im not sure how to put it on a hook??

I'm surprised cone isn't working. Are you chumming with it first?

Also, if the koi are hanging just 10 ft from the shoreline and you can see them - then rest assured, they can see you.

Try setting up a few feet further back on the shore and keeping the noise and movement to a minimum.

Night fishing w/o a light may pay off for you as well................

    good luck

The only ones I have personally hooked were on floating bread. They are very wary fish.

If you're using whole kernal cone for bait, then use whole kernal cone for chum.

i'd maybe try koi pellets. use a small rubber band to attach the pellet to your hook. i've seen the pellets at wally world before.
