Conowingo Lake

Took a chance yesterday hoping to miss the storms that were expected to come through the area near Peach Bottom and was rewarded with a 20+ degree drop in temperature, 4 smallies and 1 LM AND only a few sprinkles .  Glad I made the trip after working the early shift yesterday.  I probably would have stayed out all night if it were Friday or Saturday night and not a work night.

Sounds like you had a good trip. Haven't been out since Father's day. Been laid up with a leg problem. Hope to spend some time on the river this fall.

Fished again both Saturday and Sunday.  Drove up from Timonium area where it rained all day to absolutely no rain on Saturday.  Only managed a couple small smallies and a LM.  Went back up Sunday with the girlfriend to boat and do a little fishing and didn't catch anything.  Talked to one other boat that was fishing for catfish and they didn't catch anything either and they were using live bait, so that at least made me feel a little better .  I was also told that a tournmanet there Sunday morning didn't fair to well either.  Well, that's fishing!  Looking forward to getting back out there again soon.

Caught two big smallies yesterday along with some smaller ones.  Starting to get more familiar with the area.  Can't wait to get back out there.

Slow going this past Sunday, Aug. 19.  Only managed a few small smallies.  There were tons, and I mean tons, of smaller baitfish everywhere.  Why would they hit something artificial??  LOL  Had quite a few follows, but they spooked easily, which was unusual.
