New Fly Fishing Gear ~ 2008

I have to admit I'm a bit of a gear pig when it comes to new, better fly fishing equipment.  That doesn't always mean that I'm in the market to purchase anything specifically.  I just want to keep up with the latest market of fresh gear.  Please add your opinions and experiences with any new fishing products.

Anybody ever use a strike indicator made by the Ohio based company Float Master?

I've noticed their products at our local fly shops.

Another product I'm interested is the redesigned studded Aquastealth Simms Guide boot.  I think now the cleats can be replaced after they wear down.  Any opinions?.....formerguide.

changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes....nothing remains quite the same

Greg I saw the Floatmaster floats on some Ohio Fishing show..  The only drawback is they are set up so your leader enters and exits from the bottom of the float.  I think that would add extra drag ...  and we all know the less drag the better

My friend pulled these floats off a rack at poor richards and showed em to me, there kinda hidden up there and I never noticed them before.  I used them with sucess, and so does he.  I like them and I hate indicators of any sort for the most part.  The right angle technique doesn't drag like you think they would, the indicators were great, offered in some neat color combinations and didnt pop off the leader.  just my 2 cents.
