Winter Trout Fishing

Much like the get-together the guys on the South Central board are doing, I was wondering...or figuring it would be an idea to throw out anyway, if anyone from this area of the state would be interested in getting something together a day in the next two, three weeks or so?

If there's enough interest, I was thinking Neshannock Creek DHALO but I'm open to whatever.

I have one more week of brutal busy work and then I have a week and half vacation. Basically, December 22nd and beyond is good for me, how about everyone else? Neshannock DHALO sound good?

The weather after the 22nd should be warmer according to the extended forecast I looked at today.  So count my better half and I in!  We really enjoy fishing Neshannock.  It would probably be more convenient with most if this trip was after Christmas.

I have no problem with that, let's come up with an exact date, whatever's best for everyone as a whole, I'll most likely be on vacation so I've got a lot of flexibility.

What about this Friday, Dec. 21st or Sat. 22nd?  The stream is in good shape plus it is going to be in the low 40's.  Can anybody go then?

We ended up going to Elk also.  We went to the upper area.  I landed one male.  How did you do Mikastorm?  The water was in good shape.

I'd still like to at some point get something together on Neshannock.

I fished with Mika today, we stopped by Follies, too crowded, went to Streuchen Flats, not a lot of fish and the holes they were holding in were surrounded so we ended up at the Legion where the crowds were pretty minimal.

I brought a few in and lost a bruiser that almost spooled my backing...I'll let John tell you how he did today.
