Edinboro

At last fishing has started. Got out for a couple of hours and it felt great. Bite was kind of slow but did manage to bring enough home for dinner. Just good to be walking on water, hope it lasts.

Had about 5" ice with a couple inches of snow. Very dry on top. Might be the best ice i've seen on Edinboro in years. Not thick but solid.

went out on edinboro for the evening bite tonight.
was there last monday and only caught a few small perch and bluegills.
ended up with a nice pile of crappies to my surprise.
felt good to be doing some catching!

Yeah, I'm not one to tell someone what to do with their own kid, but I agree with these guys...let it tighten up a bit.

the day went quite well. he caught fish. we caught fish. I lost a biggin' on a tip up with a large gill... and he got to record the event. Also, not one boot went through. but, thanks.

There's some marginal ice out far that would be soooooo perfect if we could hit the mid to low 20's for a week or 2 but I know that's to much to ask. Ice was solid enuff in close to the 99 side, but that's it. It was 29 degrees when launching. If the Boro could stay at or just below freezing, it'll be "fishable" for a while. I have a bad feeling it won't.
