Longer Ice Rods

I'm looking for a longer ice fishing rod for a x-mas present for my dad. He wants one around 34-36" for pike and walleye. I'm looking at alot of different websites and not seeing much at all in that length. Any idea of a rod I should look for? Not looking to spend an arm and a leg. Ed

You could probably make a nice one out of an old broken rod.

In general , I like Co-polymers, nobodies in particular . They are strong so one can scale down on # test and are also more sensitive than regular mono . I've tried half a dozen braided types and hate all of them . They do have strong advantages over mono , but for me the disadvantages outweigh them [ difficult to cut unless one uses scissors and more importantly , I can't stand that noise they make when going through rod guides ! It sounds as if they're cutting right into the guides ] .

Co-polymer lines also stretch less, I use them for all my jigging (Eaton, French Creek) haven't tried it ice fishing yet but the deep waters at Pymy might be a good thing all i use is plastic for the crappies down there less give better feel in 20ft of water...fish5000 if you use a certain brand for ice fishing i'd like to know it....thanks in advance....
