Anybody hunting/gettin ready to hunt?

Just wondering if anybody's been out in the North Zone the past week. Be cool to see some pics if you got any.

Real excited about the South Zone opener Saturday. Got a little - and I mean little - puddle that's usually dry this time of year. Checked it out the past couple mornings and it was full of water and full of mallards.

If I shoot straight, should get a quick limit of mallards

Not gettin' my hopes up for woodies or teal though. Never see them around this area.

My Dad and I were in Clinton County for the opener on Kettle Creek. Awesome day lots of shooting but only 1 bird to show for it, Tons of mergansers, and a few woodies flew past our blind. We were out of shells by 9:30. Even had 6 - 10 woodies sneak up on us on a connecting stream just behind us.

Man, what a beautiful morning to be out.  Got a half dozen dekes out 15 minutes before LST and settled into the brush around my puddle.  At about 7:15, I heard wings coming, looked to my left and here comes a flock dropping in.  Dropped the first two, and missed the third.  About a dozen were trying to drop in all at once.  Hank worked beautifully, and we wrapped it up at 8:30 without seeing another duck.

Hit another little bigger water today, close to where I was Saturday. Got another mallard drake this AM. Birds came in a little before LST, so I had to let 'em swim around a bit. Probably 15-20 in all. Let 2 drakes get close and then I jumped them up. Definitely should've had both.

Hit the creek this morning, never hunted this spot before,we did not expect what we were about to get into. DUCKS DUCKS DUCKS, they were flying everywhere. Next time we are gonna be where they were dumping. Still managed one woodie and got the dog its first retrieve. Can't wait to get back to the water.

Blaze, those are some sweet pics you got.

Had a perfect set-up Thursday for ducks, and I whiffed on 2 small flocks that were literally suspended in mid air, fighting the wind, as they tried to land in my decoys. Should've been the easiest 4 mallard limit of my life. Didn't even get feathers.

Only had about an hour to hunt this morning - wife had to work, so I had to get home with the kids. Set up on a little puddle at my buddy's house down the road about a mile. Didn't see a thing.

He called me at 9 to tell me that about 60 geese landed on his puddle 20 minutes after I left

So lots of for me the last few days

changed it up a little bit and went goose hunting Saturday morning only ended up with one bird but we saw more than expected we had two different flocks of about 50 to 75 birds trying to land on us but they wouldn't commit we don't know why either. one of the big flocks landed 100 yards in front of us but couldn't get anything to work for us. but all and all it was still exciting having all these geese circling us. still can't wait for the snow to start flying!!!!!
