Lazy geese, lazy hunter.

Been hunting the local lake since the first and hadn't really seen many geese to speak of.  Well yesterday it all changed.  Have had the boat loaded  with decoys but I was to lazy to get up early and set up.  Friday morning couldn't sleep so I decided to try the decoy bit before the early season goes out.  Set up on a small island and just at day light 3 geese swam into the decoys and stayed for over an hour.  Could have shot them but just had to much fun watching them from 20 feet away.  The rest of the morning was the same, geese would come and go by swimming in and out of the decoys.  The count was 81 birds when I picked up at 11 AM.  All the flocks of birds that came in were in small flocks of 3 or 4 birds.  Could of had my limit many times over but had much more fun just watching them come and go.

Yep found that out a long time ago.  Now if it was 40 years ago it would have been different.
