Jigs

Ok i know that they aren't flies but i have some questions, well just one.  I found a jig while fishing one day and started using it for trout, turned out to be my new favorite lure. Almost lost it one time and had to go wading to get it.  I tried making another but it didn't turn out the same, im not really sure what it could have been made out of. I dont believe it was marabou because thats what i made mine out of and they were a little different looking. Any idea what else it could have been made out of?

Deer hair? I like tinsel jigs myself for steel. Not meaning to hijack but what brand jigheads do you use when tying? I'm looking for 1/32 and under. The only ones I can find have real light wire hooks.
