Got wet but well worth it!

Fished Rose Valley lake from 7 til 10. Got soaked but caught 42 perch,1 largemouth,5 smallys, and 10 big sunfish. Had 2 fish break off. Fish wanted minnies and flies. Only 8 boats out. All fish caught from shore. Saw 5 deer and 2 grouse.

    whats the point of keeping track of perch to the exact number and how do you define "big" sunfish??
     
    were you using minnies on a fly rod or flies on a spinning rod??

    If the world needed and enema, they'd put the tube in Philadelphia. Go Pens!

    Did you get any pictures of the deer or grouse?

    A big sunfish is one that barely fits in your hand. Flies on a spinning rod with a weighted bobber. I believe its called trout on a bubble or something like that. Fly fishing purists do not like it for some reason, I even use woolybuggers, not nymphs and they still stick their noses up at me! The deer and grouse would not stand still. As I have stated before I am a fisherman not a photographer.

    It still was a good day on the water.Post that fly set up under the fly fishing thread and watch those guys go nuts ! LOL You sure you saw a deer ? I thought all the deer in Pa disapeared with HR.
