Gun Wanted

Does anyone have a cheap 243cal rifle for sale. My son wants one for christmas and I cant afford a new one. Would consider a 222cal also. My son is 12 years old. Dont want a large caliber. Thanks

    gander mountaint has a single shot 223 in stock its 160 bucks if i remember... also you can get it in 308,30-06, 7x6.2 (or what ever the order is), 410, 20 gauge.  my buddy just baught the 223 and right out of the box it was dead on.  i think out the door with 3 boxes of shells everything costed 205 bucks

    Tanks for the info Maga. But I would really like to get a cheap used bolt action. I can spend around $250.00. I know thats not much for a hunting rifle but who knows mabe I'll get lucky.

    Dude, you can buy a New (base model, synthetic stock, blue barrel) Stevens Model 200 for around $250 in 243.  it is a bolt action.  My nephew has one and it is a great shooter as well.

     Thanks to everyone for their replies. I found a Savage 340 222cal. with walnut stock, no scratches or dings 3X9X40 bushnel scope and sling for $185.00.  Thought it was a good buy. Only thing wrong withit is it has no clip. Ihave found several for around $35.00. Again thanks to everyone.
