Good Evening

A couple friends and went to our home water to fish the sulphurs, despite a tornado warning, and a severe storm warning. When we got to our spot, we decided to sit and have a few drinks til the hatch got going, or the storm chased us away.

The storm arrived, and miraculously, it lasted only a few minutes... which was long enough to chase away the other anglers.

It doesn't happen often, but there are times when you can find the bigger fish feeding on top. Last night was one of them. The bugs didn't hatch in huge numbers, but there were plenty to keep the fish feeding on top for about 20 minutes. Then it was all over.

These fish aren't exactly giants, but are much better than average for risers. Here's a few crappy cell phone pics.

I didn't know there was a tornado warning. We got blasted by the t-storm though.. hid under the trees during the lightning show. Nice fish.

My reports and advice are for everyone to enjoy, not just the paying customers.

I sat under a testle while the weather did its thing.  I'm glad I reversed my original plan of taking a long, tough wade into an area that is fairly open.

8:15 until dark was pretty special.

By the way, The Drake must have been fishing upstream of me because a huge sucker came floating down at one point.

A very Good Evening to you, too.
Looks like you have some fishable water. Nice. I', jealous.
I might have to make a road trip. Things up here are still a mess.
Sound like you had a magical 20 minutes.

Don't bother, seriously.  We had a blast of weather last night and the river is back up over 1,100 cfs (300 is prefered).

Maybe mid-week, if it doesn't rain.
